Was the worst performance I've ever seen from a lineman. I want to say just rusty but good god....

Agreed with what others are saying.
Just an overall terrible performance. It's hard to play much worse than Staley did. Good lord

I went to bed so mad after that game and Staley is one of the reasons. I feel like he lives on name alone these days. And it's not just last night, every time I watch him he's getting beat like a rented mule. The same goes true for his butt buddy McGlinchey. He's terrible and only starting because of his draft status. I mean, how many times do you have to get roasted before you start to learn a thing or two?

I posted in the game thread from the 1st quarter to the end of the game to pull his ass, both him and McG.
He looked like s**t out there, I love the guy but he needs to be replaced if he has another game like that. Give him one more half, if he looks the same shelf him for good.

You could tell Joe's leg is still hurting and slowing him down. Of the three returning starters Juice was the only one ready to play.

I tried to warn you all that Staley is always terrible his first game back from injury. It takes him a few games. Unfortunately, we needed pre injury Joe and he and his twin looked like Street FA's out there with some massively uninspired play. At least be passionate you're back.

It would have been more effective to just have nobody there blocking clowney and run away from him every time

Joe's kick-slide was atrocious. Dude had no business being on the field yet. He could not redirect whatsoever and get his feet in position. He clearly lacks the leg strength still because Clowney beat him every way imaginable, including simply running over him one time. You would've thought Sam Young was in the game, and it's hard to imagine if Young would've done any worse than Joe did last night.

The offense......not so much. Deebo Samuel led the way at 75.5, while Joe Staley was the top graded #49ers lineman last night at 65.5. Samuel and Sanders (70.2) were the only two offensive players over 70. https://t.co/Eb0Lhe7Te5

Lol one play clowney put a move on Staley and Staley didn't even touch him. Man that's gonna be pretty embarrassing when they look at film.
Shanny should not have played full time maybe give him some series to see how he looks before committing to him fulltime. I think burnskill or skule could have done better.

Brunskill and Skule were playing well - not great but KS schemed the plays right for them
IMO, that would have worked last night.

Ive always wondered... at some point do you just say "I'm not ready" and bench yourself? Or do you keep embarrassing yourself and hurting your team until the coach makes the decision?
I am a salty fan right now, I waited 11 long days to turn on the tv and watch this abortion of an offensive effort.
In the long run, i'll probably be happy that Staley returned to form, but right now im still too humiliated to gaf...
