Now I understand J. Hill's unhappiness.

How is this a lack of respect? This is the NFL where teams play to win. They don't play to not hurt the feelings of the players on their teams.

I sure hope people out there are smarter than that to not be able to use common sense and their brains. You replace a WR who has more NFL experience for a rookie whom has missed all the offseason activities. And now J.Morgan is getting replaced for what? how is that not a lack of respect towards JM. it's not like JM has stone of hands like VD had for the 1st 3yrs. should VD not have been replaced by DW. I just do not understand this move.

That's what happens when you're on the outside looking in - like all of us.

why?

They both have 13 receptions...Bruce's Avg per catch is a respectable 12.8 ypc, he's caught more first down receptions and he is someone who can actually teach Crabs a thing or two, not to mention he is a more reliable route runner for Hill.

Morgan will make for a good #3 on this team.

what does having picked in the 6th round have to do with it. does it matter. T. Brady was picked in the 6th rd do you see NE replacing him with a 1st rounder? M. Colston was picked in the 6th rd do you see NO replacing him with R. Mechem whom was picked in the 1st.

bottom line is if you can play and produce you ought to be out there on the field and it does not matter if a diva of a rookie showed up 3 months later. sit your arse down son and be a ball boy till your name/# is called. way to tell a diva it's all good that you were not here like others working their tails off to make the team better. I love the logics of the humans on here.

Because he's 37 and past his prime. He can teach while sitting on the bench too.

VD wasnt a 6th round pick and DW wasn't the 10th pick overall

with your logic A.Smith ought to be the starting QB not some duck throwing journeymen of a QB in S.Hill
well lets see what he has

Morgan did not get benched!!!

He is no longer the X receiver. Crabtree is a far better prospect and this also will benefit the team when Bruce is gone next year and Morgan takes Bruces place.

Regardless of how it works out, it's a bs move. If they're unhappy w/Morgan, that's fine, you move Battle/Hill/Jones/Spurlock up in the rotation. Even if you bring MC in after the 1st series or first couple of plays, that would be better. It sends a terrible message to the team. Either that the off-season means nothing, all the wr's but Bruce suck (if it only takes a couple of practices and a few days of running routes for a rookie to surpass morgan/hill/battle/spurlock) or both. It appears Sing is starting to believe his own hype.

I think he's just desperate for offense.
Could be. Who knows.
I trust Sing. to make the right decisions to improve the team. He has shown that he’s quick to pull a player or make a roster change if he sees something that warrants a quick change. As for Bruce or Morgan, I don’t think it will make much of a difference. None of the Niner receivers have done much through the first five games.

Although I’m not expecting a big rookie debut from Crabtree, I can’t deny that I’m a little excited to see what he can do especially after such a rapid promotion.

For giving it up to Crabby Pattie! A kid that's never played a down, making more money than him and he's got to swallow his pride and say...this....that's got to burn him up inside!

We feel for you Josh! Hang in there big daddy!

"I'm helping him learn my position and take my position," said Morgan, who ranks second on the 49ers behind Vernon Davis in receiving. Morgan has 13 catches for 202 yards and one touchdown. "It is what it is. If he can help us win, I'm all right with that.
