Benching J. Morgan over Issac Bruce is very questionable to me.

why?

They both have 13 receptions...Bruce's Avg per catch is a respectable 12.8 ypc, he's caught more first down receptions and he is someone who can actually teach Crabs a thing or two, not to mention he is a more reliable route runner for Hill.

Morgan will make for a good #3 on this team.

Because he's 37 and past his prime. He can teach while sitting on the bench too.

ya, bruce can teach on the bench and morgan can drop TD passes on the field

i love it

Better than having both him and Morgan dropping passes at the same time on the field.

He is no longer the X receiver. Crabtree is a far better prospect and this also will benefit the team when Bruce is gone next year and Morgan takes Bruces place.

Stop all that sensible talk

That sh!t is not allowed in here. LOL.

What's age got to do with it, apparently Sing and company think he's contributing more to this team that's why he's starting not Morgan.

I'm just saying Bruce should only be a 3rd-down WR at this stage in his career. It's not that hard to understand.
All this before Crabtree even catches a single ball? Doesn't matter a bit if we lose on Sunday. Best to wait and watch.
It kind of sucks for Morgan. We never really run out 3 WR's, so I don't understand how many snaps he'll get. All of a sudden we bench Morgan for Crabtree, and now he will get LESS plays on the field then Crabs while this is Crabs first game here?

There's no way Crabtree is a better run blocker then Morgan, and Bruce is pretty bad himself.
I'm surprised why people are griping, cause if Nolan had drafted Crabs he wouldn't be starting him until week 13 (or next season), whether or not he had held out, and ninertalk would go into a great depression.

The biggest reason Nolan was such a crappy coach was because he played favoritism, and lacked the balls to pull back a crappy player/throw in a young gun when things weren't working. This is why I love Singletary.

Singletary HAS BALLS, he commended Rachel and Snyder, but when they started to suck he replaced/shifted them, just as he did with the players previous to their commendations.

Whether or not Crabs produces much Sunday it won't really make a difference, cause Morgan probably can't do much better right now (either), but at least we're putting our money to good use.
How much will he even do with 2 weeks practice?...

flipping ninertalk...

that will eventually happen

Morgan and Crabtree starting

Eventually, but Bruce has not looked good so far.

Bruce should be cut he is just taking up space.

I think it's because Bruce is showing signs that he isn't an every-down player anymore. By making Morgan the #3 WR, you're hindering his development, and that isn't necessary because Morgan is 10 years younger than Bruce, yet has similar numbers. Plus, the #3 WR in this offense doesn't get to play much.

Either way, our offense is better today than it was yesterday, because Crabtree is an improvement over Morgan, so we can't be too disappointed.

He just wants to be a Niner so he can run around in a red #80 jersey on the practice field.
Dont know if anyone mentioned this

but B. Jones isnt starting either....

we paid him decent money to have a role in the offense right?
