Crabtree Discussion Thread

Crabz decision making defies all logic. If he does sit out and re-enter the draft then you know he doesn't really care about the money. But see, that doesn't make sense either since the reason we're even at this point is because the niners didn't wanna give him #7 money? My brain's gonna explode.

The fact Jed has offered to have a face to face meeting with Craptree and his agent,
AND so far his calls have been unreturned is a major sign of disrespect. At this point I don't think I want him on the 49ers. With the offense we have I don't think he would have any major impact until the QB situation is upgraded. Let him go back in the draft,

Wow what ? It was reported by ESPN and was dealt with by the DEA. If there was any doubt Crabtree had any involvement he would never have been in the NFL draft but rather behind bars. People need to get over that. Crabtree was not tied to this incident in any way other than rooming with the guy. Again it is unfair to label him guilty by association if nothing ever came of it. I'm not disagreeing with you...I just think you're missing the point I'm making. He's not guilty of any wrongdoing. That's established. What he's guilty of is rooming/hanging out with scumbags. That in itself is a legitimate red-flag. How many times do you hear about guys who screw their careers up because they associate with the wrong type of people (see Mike Vick)? Of course I'm not saying he's ever going to f**k up like Vick...I'm just saying if you hang out with cocaine dealers, you need to do a better job of picking your friends.

i think im finding out more about crabtree's mindset. he doesnt want to play for the niners...especially at the figure we are offering....but if we offer him way more than he would be ok signing here....red alert! if the cowboys offer him the same contract we did i think he would sign because it appears that is a team he wants to play for. i wish he would just come out and say i dont want to play for the niners. that might solve this thing. elway did it. eli manning did it. i think it would be best for both parties to get that out on the table. we don't want to pay a guy $20 million if he has no interest in playing for us. at this point i wish the niners would totally pull the offer off the table and try to work a trade.

And PEON sanders said that he's not in need of money so he can afford to sit out the season.

So in the end, Cashtree doesn't want to sign because he wants more money when he doesn't need money.

It all makes perfect sense now.

Damn you Crabtree

Enough about these Jerry Jones conspiracy theories. Jones understands the tampering rules as well as anyone. Tampering with Crabtree will be treated much more harshly than the 49ers-Bears incident of recent past.

Also, it is each teams best interest not to tamper with rookie draft picks. The 49ers could very well make an under-the-table agreement with the next rookie draft pick for the cowboys.

Yeah i think that this proves he does not want to be a niner. Hopefully when we play agaisnt him in the future, Our defense will make him regret it.
