Moss fell due to his off the field incidents. Not comparable at all.

Well, if you put all this holdout stuff with the fact that his roomate at Tech was a big time drug dealer (Crabtree was in the house when the police busted in and searched the place). He has some questionable off field incidents.

bulls**t Crabtree was injerd when he was picked ! everyone has baggage !

How is Crabtree's injury comparable with someone charged with battery resulting in a major college program revoking it's scholarship offer (he signed a letter his letter of intent as it was his dream to play there) then testing positive for marijuana thus violating your probation and then let go by another major college program for violating your probation and ending up at a DII school thus later affecting his draft stock.

The so called baggage is far from comparable situations. Players get drafted early all the time regardless of injuries they may have suffered or are recovering from (see Jonathan Stewart in 2008 or how about Adrian Peterson from 2007)

i've come to the belief thats its not about the money.... Crabtree just doesnt want to sign with us. The fact that he and his agent have yet accept Jeds invitation or work harder with the organization makes me believe he wants nothing to do with the niners.

If he doesnt sign this year I wouldnt be the least bit surprised if he was in a Cowboys uniform in 2010

Yeah, was reading the comments in that one school article and saw that many people speculated that Cowboys' owner might have something to do w/ this. Of course the NFL Commissioner doesn't wanna get involved (unless it's a tampering claim against SF), so Craptree's holdout + Sanders' comments + Parker's role + possibly Cowboys' owner involved behind the scenes = may be guilty of something, but fans and the Niners organization may never find out the truth.

I hope it was the Cowboys who are interested in him. Then I hope we make Dallas pay through the nose to get Crabtree. If not, all I care about is Crabtree falling beyond pick 20 and getting half, if not less, than what the Niners were willing to give him.

Baggage is baggage. Injury is not the only reason CrabGREED fell in the draft. Different teams weigh certain baggage differently. Some teams avoid players with injury concerns. Other teams seriously downgrade players that have off-field issues or attitude problems. Crab went into the draft with several bags. Injury, questions as to his pure speed, attitude issues (the "diva" tag), the gimmicky offense in college, and he was a sophomore. All of those are things that hurt a player's draft status.

That is why his situation is not significantly different than that of other highly rated players that fell due to various factors. CrabGREED is no different.

Next year, he'll have all the same concerns (baggage) that he had prior to the 2009 draft, only he will have conclusively proven that he has attitude issues (the diva tag fit). A year long holdout may also raise concerns about his desire to play. Since he won't be able to workout, interview, or take a physical with any other team, the only new information teams will have on him in the 2010 draft is that he hasn't played football in a year (baggage), and that he will be hard to sign if he isn't the first WR taken (more baggage). He'll fall again. Maybe reality will finally sink in.

I can see the pattern.

Deion Sanders + Michael Crabtree + "a team that is willing to pay him" = Jerry Jones

Crabtree knows that by re-entering the draft he will never get paid what he wants. So he knows that we will trade him.

This is incredibly naive...living with a cocaine dealer is a pretty big red flag. Nobody is saying he did a few lines or even had anything to do with it. It's just an indication of the type of people he associated himself with during his tenure at Tech.

i don't even know how i'm gonna feel about crabs if we sign him at this point

In both the 'draft' and 'trade' scenarios, Crabtree does not control where he plays next year. The 49ers would trade his rights to the team that makes the best trade offer. Otherwise, Crabtree has to take his chance in the NFL draft with every other rookie.
