I think that's a realistic trade. I don't see us getting a 1st rd pick.

BTW, over 51K views for a guy who may never play for us...amazing and sad at the same time.

Crabtree will sign, he will be a 9er for the next 4-5 years, he will score many TDs for us

How are you coming to that conclusion?

We offer X.....He wants Y.....We wont give him Y.....He wont accept X, neither side is going to cave into the other. I'm really starting to think he isn't going to sign.

Do you have a date when this will happen?

FWIW, Chris Mortensen was on ESPN Radio this morning with his thoughts.

Based on the people he's talked to, Crabtree is the type of person that really is crazy enough to sit out the season. According to Mort, Crabtree and Eugene Parker KNOW the odds of him getting drafted higher in 2010 are dim.

Both sides are playing a game of chicken waiting for the other to blink.

I think he signs mid-season, as the deadline to be eligible to play this year is Week 10 (see Vikings LT Bryant McKinnie in 2002).

These rookie contracts have spoiled these kids that think they're entitled to all this money without proving a damn thing. Pisses me off.

Its not going to be a Nov kind of thing is it?
We need a separate thread where I can scream my obscenities at Crabtree. Oh well I'll just go scream into my pillow, print out pictures of Crabtree and make holes in the eyes.

It's obvious that we never brought him in for an interview, it's obvious we didn't do our homework. Scotty blew his wad when he saw him drop and drafted him. We didn't draft for need. WE DID NOT DRAFT FOR NEEDS!!!! that is why we are in this position. M. Oher should've been the pick. Logical. Man we are starting to look & sound like the raiders. pathetic. all of you on here that love this kid go to hell! he will suck. he was a system wr and will not be a good wr in the nfl. stop tjhe madness. allot of you have drank the cool aid. crap man this makes me sick. if my boys & me see you with a crabtree jersey in the parking lot prepare for hell man. there will be a t least 12 angry guys reaming your ass! this is stupid.

what will be even more stupid is if we sign him. what a waste of a pick. another waste of a first round pick. pathetic! it's the curse of the mooch! f**k the yorks!!! & scotty! horrid management.

If that's the case, I would hope that Scotty-Mac adds a year to the contract saying that this is forfeited season due to Crabs late signing...

I hope we get a bundle of picks for his b***h ass next year

You.can't have it both ways! Either we trade him for picks or players or he goes back into next year's draft.

and this is in San Diego

I got my return autherization #, I'm still thinking whether to keep it or not.. I have to decide soon .

Is it home or away?.....I will buy it if its an away jersey.
Everybody keeps saying that both the niners and bit%h boy will lose out if he does not sign and sits out for the year. I don't fully sgree with that because while the niners will be losing a pottentially good player, they will aaslo be avoiding a headache and diva screwing up the team chemistry and family atmosphere that coach Sing has worked so har to implament. Also come march if we can get at least a 2nd for him or even better if one of the teams that said they would pay him 40 mil is willing to give up a 1st we could be really set up good for next years draft. Meanwhile Crabs will just continue to lose money and end up being an example of who not to emulate in the NFL.

In the end I now think we should let his punk ars sit out the whole year get what we can for him, or let him get drafted in the 2nd or 3rd round of next years draft and we can wash our hands of this scrub. PEACE FROM THE FAN

Crabtree made a pre-draft visit to Niner HQ on 4/6/09.
