I've heard from a cou[le sources that he's a 1st round talent. That's not saying much I guess when you look at tsome of the guys that have been selected in the 1st round. Anyway the issue wth him is the gambling thing. Is he really addicted and will it be a problem when he gets even more money.? Nobody knows and that may keep teams from investing more than a 3rd or a 2nd rounder.

Has any team ever used a 1st in the Supplemental draft?
Bernie Kosar
Brian Bosworth
Steve Walsh
Timm Rosenbach
They all failed. He's worth next year's 4th but not ours.

  • 1st Round Picks - Dave Wilson (1981 - NO - QB), Bernie Kosar (1985 - CLE - QB), Brian Bosworth (1987 - SEA - LB), Steve Walsh (1989 - DAL - QB), Timm Rosenbach (1989 - PHX - QB), Bobby Humphrey (1989 - DEN - RB), Rob Moore (1990 - NYJ - WR), Dave Brown (1992 - NYG - QB).
  • Pro-Bowlers
    • 1st - Kosar, Humphrey, Moore
    • 2nd - Mike Wahle (1998 - OT - GB), Jamal Williams (1998 - NT - SD), Josh Gordon (2012 - WR - CLE)
    • 3rd - Ahmad Brooks (2006 - LB - CIN)
    • 4th - Cris Carter (1987 - WR - PHI)
      • Also only Hall of Famer
  • 49ers Selections
    • Rod Connors (1978 - RB - 10th), Roosevelt Snipes (1985 - RB - 8th)

Terrelle Pryor (2012 - OAK - 3rd) would be the only QB taken in the Supplemental Draft outside of the 1st.

There have been a few years where prospects were available and nobody placed a bid. e.g. 2023 had Jackson State WR Malachi Wideman and Purdue WR Milton Wright as eligible players. Both became UDFAs.
The NFL has ruled that there will be no supplemental draft this year. Sorsby will be eligible to enter the regular draft if he choses.

Back to Sorsby. No supplemental draft. The NFL is denying him the right to make a living. Sounds like he has a legal case. Should he sue for that right and gets a positive ruling it may be too late to hold that draft. I could see a judge making him a free agent to sign with any team. His gambling issues would suggest he's not ready to play. Put him on the team where he can get that phd like Macdonald did. 4 qbs-a nice problem to have.

Sorry man, I disagree. The NFL isn't stopping him from getting a job or starting a business they are forcing him to take his punishment and he's throwing a fit. The players union represents players in the NFL not future prospects who got in trouble in college and want to skip out on punishment.
Terrion Arnold arrested for armed robbery that originated in February.

Now facing potential life in prison for kidnapping, what a moron he is to thrown all of this away, surely will he suspended for a significant amount of time and wouldn't be shocked if he's cut

Yeah agreed 100% he needs to take his punishment, he chose to break the rules and bet like what over $90k on his colleges? Yeah screw this kid, the NFLPA might fight it but idk if they win, the NFL has every right to not hold a supplemental draft, the kid should have played by the rules and he'd never be in this situation

The NFL isn't obligated to hold a supplemental draft. The last one was in 2023 and no players were selected. 2019 was the last time they had a player selected is one. They said he's eligible to enter the regular draft in April so they aren't denying him anything.

Back to Terrion Arnold. If this incident happened in February was it in the news?
