Still so many diseases that we have no cure for. No real prevention either. All you can do is hope you don't get one.

No family history of ALS. Could it be football?

Oh, maybe it's because his house faces north. Or, maybe it's because he wears nikes? You just throwing s**t against the wall hoping some stick?

There is a higher risk of ALS in people that have played football. The overall risk is still low.

In the latest news it seems Roger Goodell is being re-upped. https://www.profootballrumors.com/
I don't like it:
"Goodell has drawn criticism on a number of fronts, with inconsistent discipline decisions and a reversal of the NFL's stance on gambling once it was legalized among the topics which have led to scandals. Nevertheless, ownership has remained willing to extend his tenure on several occasions with minimal opposition emerging. Per Maske, no stumbling blocks to another deal are believed to exist."
The Super Bowl halftime show was more than enough. Look at how much money the league has grown into. If I was an owner I'd re-up him too. Players getting away with too much.

As much as fans can't stand Goodell, he's basically just a puppet for the owners. He's not going anywhere. At least not until they get the next TV deal done.
It is hard to believe he's already been commissioner longer than Paul Tagliabue and is older than Paul when he stepped down.

He's making $ for the league, which is his job.
Growing the league substantially, international series (as much as I hate it) is launching the NFL into global territory.
RG made the league soft and palatable for everyone. Rainbows, halftime show controversy, male cheerleaders, rule changes every year. RG is selling the league to everyone. The old NFL with PT couldn't have done this.
