Back to Terrion Arnold. If this incident happened in February was it in the news?

No idea.... but I've heard prosecutors are pushing for him to be jailed until the trial starts.

It appears the Detroit Lions are searching for a new CB.
An interesting read from the NY Times. It is not hidden behind a paywall. Yet.

Back to Sorsby. No supplemental draft. The NFL is denying him the right to make a living. Sounds like he has a legal case. Should he sue for that right and gets a positive ruling it may be too late to hold that draft. I could see a judge making him a free agent to sign with any team. His gambling issues would suggest he's not ready to play. Put him on the team where he can get that phd like Macdonald did. 4 qbs-a nice problem to have.

Sorry man, I disagree. The NFL isn't stopping him from getting a job or starting a business they are forcing him to take his punishment and he's throwing a fit. The players union represents players in the NFL not future prospects who got in trouble in college and want to skip out on punishment.

Yeah agreed 100% he needs to take his punishment, he chose to break the rules and bet like what over $90k on his colleges? Yeah screw this kid, the NFLPA might fight it but idk if they win, the NFL has every right to not hold a supplemental draft, the kid should have played by the rules and he'd never be in this situation

The NFL isn't obligated to hold a supplemental draft. The last one was in 2023 and no players were selected. 2019 was the last time they had a player selected is one. They said he's eligible to enter the regular draft in April so they aren't denying him anything.

Oh I agree, he screwed up and they have every right to not hold a supplemental draft and he needs to made to sit out IMO

I wonder how long it'd take for him to go trial? I'd imagine he'd want a speedy trial seeing as this will cost him a lot of money and time

I mean if he's guilty either way he's f**ked, if innocent I'd hate to be in jail waiting for a trial and also as an NFL player he's gonna lose a lot of money plus his career will likely be over as if he's waiting years he ain't gonna be in the same shape then as he is now

Well Joey, like his Brother Nick, is an extremely disciplined athlete/individual... they eat healthy and work out for themselves. So he'll for sure stay in shape as the season goes on... then if a team making a playoff run needs a proven pass rusher, he'll be there ready to cash in and potential get himself a Super Bowl.

Wouldn't be surprised if he convinces some local free agent Olinemen to train with him....reps...etc.

Football and future money should be the last thing he should be worried about right now

I agree but he's gotta be thinking that, if he's innocent, that if he's locked up for a while till the trial begins, he won't be back in the league again, but that's my opinion, who knows what happens

That's terrible news.
I lost a very close friend to this disease.
Prayers to him and his family.

Absolutely tragic story. Just a reminder how crazy this disease is and how quicky it attacks. Always awful to see these athletic marvels lose their ability to do the most basic of things. Tragic for anyone but somehow it hits even harder for guys we watched play at the highest level.

Prayers up for CJ and his family during this brutal time.
