Be real, Bosa is coming off an ACL and about to hit the very expensive parts of his contract. Verse is younger, healthier and cheaper. A lot of fans b***h and moan without thinking and being reasonable
Myles Garrett is going to the rams and you're b***h / moaning about 9er fans overreacting 😂
It's July and I'm not gonna cry like you are over something the 9ers could do nothing about. The games have to be played still
How do you know that for sure? I find it funny how some posters "cry and complain" over other posters concerns rather than actually giving input in the conversation.
I think Bosa is a good chip, and you make a great point on Verse being younger but you also don't need to get your panties in a bunch over the idea of it or start name calling and complaining about posters being upset about our division rival acquiring the reigning all time sack leader.
If the brown wanted a player the rams have us beat but if I were the 9ers which I imagine we had to have at least explored trading for him. I would have tried outbidding them with more draft capital if they weren't interested in Bosa. Maybe they did try, I hope they did because letting the Rams land Garrett with the most cap space in the league looks bad
Not getting no panties in a bunch while you don't need to start crying and throwing a tantrum over nothing that this team could've done. It's July and not one game has been played. Throw them all the draft capital you want but having a proven healthy young player whose on his rookie deal trumps anything we could offer when our picks are going to be in the mid to late 20's.
You also forget yeah we have most cap space but this team is 34 over the cap next year when Brock's and others contracts rising so that carry over is huge. I can be on your side if it's been known Cleveland agreed with the 9ers but they pulled back, I'm sure they were interested but what LA gave was no doubt a better offer.
Im annoyed LA got Garrett but I'm not losing my mind in July knowing injuries, aging and slumps can happen even more so that LA gave up Verse. If they kept Verse then that's another convo

The cap also goes up next year
If the 9ers tried I can't be mad, I wasn't even necessarily implying they didn't. A lot of you act like Verse is their only good DL when they have Kobie Turner and Byron Young to pair with Garrett. Cope all you want with "aging" and "slumps". Garrett is a piece that can win you a Super Bowl just Like Deion, Reggie White, Charles Haley, or even Darrell Revis with the patriots. That's the level of player he is

kinda shocked that Verse was included in this. He's a beast, and has a lot going for him. I guess it works if LA wins a SB.

We go through this every time a rival gets a good player. It doesn't matter if it's football or baseball. ThenLA teams currently are owned by wealthierpeople that the Bay Area teams. They also seem more willing spend. There's also another factor. These tenured players can turn down any trade they don't like. Right now the LA franchses are a more desireable landing place than the Bay Area. In the 80's and 90's it was the other way around. I'm sure LA fans were unhappy that the Niners always seemed to get the best players. If you were Garrett and wanted a SB ring wouldn't you prefer going to LA where you would have a better chance of winning.
The Rams have chosen to seek the title by making big trades. They haven't had a #1 draft pick in 8 of the last 10 drafts and one of those picks (Verse) was used to get Garrett. It seems to work well for LA teams where the access to the media is better.

It's mind boggling to me how Niners are so clueless on how to handle their draft picks. The past few years their higher round draft picks are so mediocre. I feel like they should know by now and just use their draft picks for proven players. They've done it before with Trent and McCaffery. Those draft picks they traded for them was absolutely worth it. Those two impact the games more than any player they would've chosen with this picks.

the only move they made that i dont understand is the qb pick, if you are such into a 2-3 years window to win it all, why tf would you draft the future qb? they should have added to that defense there
that is the only move they made i dont understand. similar to what gb did with the jordan love pick when they had the last couple of rodgers superstar years
Shouldn't we… oh I don't know… maybe play literally the entire season first before rewarding a Super Bowl?

There were several layers to all of this. The Simpson pick was made with the desire to have next year's pick available to trade for a high end player. If they used that pick for say, a receiver like Makai Lemon, then they would probably be looking at next year's draft for Stafford's eventual replacement. Odds are the best one's available would be taken by the time it gets to their turn.
Simpson is a guy they had their eyes on early last season. In fact, its been said Les Snead told his father if he declares for the draft the Rams are considering him with one of their first round picks. Plus, Simpson is generally considered to be better than anyone they could get late in next year's first round. The good ones will be gone.
This trade was years in the making. The Rams wanted Garrett back in 2022. And were persistent in calling the Browns this offseason. They knew by using the pick this year for their eventual starting quarterback that frees up next year's first for the trade. It wasn't until they included Verse that the Browns agreed to it. They initially offered Byron Young who is in the last year of his rookie contract.
We can debate whether or not Simpson's got what it takes. But he will be afforded every opportunity to learn from Stafford and McVay both. Even if it takes a couple years before he can play. Simpson has one thing Aaron Rogers did not when he sat for 3 years. Stafford is gonna mentor him. Brett Favre made it clear it wasn't his job to teach Aaron Rogers.

It's not exactly analogous, but it kind of feels like when the Warriors got KD.
