The only thing I can think is they really wanted Fields or Jones. Because nothing Lance has done to date would signify buyers remorse.

That's a TD if he hadn't bobbled. Don't think the NFL gives him that much time in the pocket either.

For real. Shotgun snap + 5 step drop + 3 hitches. That's not realistic.

it took me quite a bit after the draft to come around on lance. i'll be honest i really wanted fields.... i thought he was the best QB in the draft and i don't mean the best that we could've gotten. I mean period, i liked him more than Wilson & lawrence. time will tell if i'm right or wrong on that but i've made peace with Lance and i'm 100% on board.

On one hand i honestly thing he looked pretty rough in the 1st preseason game overall. The 80 yard bomb was a thing of beauty but other than that just pretty rough. The other part of me says well this dude hasn't played in 18 months, chill and let him develop.

Nothing any of us can do now! Just hope things work out

Lance is mega raw obviously. Barely over a season of college ball. We shouldn't act surprised that he needs work. I expect Jimmy to start all year if he's healthy. Next year the decisions get tougher with money being a big issue.

Yup. I think if Jimmy stays healthy and plays well all year...Niners can easily get a 1st for him next offseason. The QB situation is so dire in this league -- people forget that. Garoppolo would make an ascending team an instant playoff contender. There would be a market.

Can't wait for the second game. The overreacting to his first game by both sides is driving me nuts

I think you're overvaluing Jimmy. But I said the same thing about Sam Bradford before he was traded for a 1st and 4th.
