It's just trolling plain and simple. You don't know what he's close to because you haven't seen s**t. So why choose a loser. Just to be a troll. You can't compare someone who has just started (and you've only see play 1 pre-season game) to someone who had a career. There is no comp because you have nothing to compare it to.

Freeman rushed for 343 yards in college, at an average of 1.6 ypc. Please explain how that compares to Lance.

The problem is that this regime, to for whatever reason, pays a draft premium instead of a discount for raw players. Trey Lance still has a lot of potential to be a great QB, but why the f**k did we pay such an obscene price to have to develop him for multiple years in the hope that he can can fulfill all that promise?

If you think he can be Josh Allen, it doesn't mean you should trade away your soul. Because for every Josh Allen type prospect, many more end up like Josh Freeman. The risk is worth a high pick, not mortgaging your entire future

Jimmy is still making bonehead plays and throwing INT's straight to LB's. "It's just preseason/camp" is not an excuse. So if we're going to have to live with a QB who makes mistakes, at least have a QB in there with the potential for 80 yard TD passes and 3rd down conversions with his legs.

Very reasonable and I fully agree.

People keep dismissing it as just practice but the problem is, it's a known issue that you hoped he had cleaned up by now but clearly he hasn't.

When both QBs are having some issues with deciveness and accuracy, why not go with the QB who has the potential to improve on them.

Jimmy is who he is at this point.

Even though I'm not a Jimmy fan, I still want him to start.

Two main reasons:

Right now his value is piss poor. He needs to improve his value, and he has a good chance to do that for us. This offense is hands down the best it has been since Garcia/TO days. And it has potential to far surpass that. So if the team can stay healthy on offense, I think Jimmy can really improve his value. And it's not gonna be hard when you look at the type of players that surround him offense, he can put up good numbers just by dumping it off to Kittle, BA, Sanu, Deebo...

Second reason is I still think Trey needs some time, and Jimmy has shown the ability to win games when the team is good. I have little doubt that Jimmy won't play at least above average football and that's really all he has to do this year. Maybe it's not enough to win a SB, but you never know.

Who said Trey is lost?

At least have a balanced opinion, yeah he might not be quite ready yet, but lost

We're actually closer in opinion than you think, for me the bolded part is what it comes down to.

We've seen that he's a fast learner and really hard worker. Let's just say that it comes in Week 10, would that be good enough for you?

We know that Kyle can adapt (and has to) around his QB's, and we know we have a great D and running game.

What would our perspective records be by Week 10 with a Trey getting up to speed Vs a fairly limited Jimmy?

He's definitely a fast learner. Now applying it is another thing because he's jumping up two levels. If Kyle is fine with him rushing for 80 yards a game, then LFG!
