If dimes means it takes 10 seconds for the ball to get there, yes.
Perfect QB situation if you ask me. After yesterday there really is no market for Garoppolo. His contract hurts a little right now it's the nice to have a rookie QB who can wait till he's ready.

I am not trying to troll here but have an honest question. Is there a good qb in the NFL who was rated anywhere close to as low as Lance was coming out of high school? A guy like Josh Allen was top 200 overall so he had some pedigree. Mahomes was top 400. Lance was 2005.
We only have a 1 season sample of him against hog farmers and cat quest reps.
just trying to see if anyone has popped out of such obscurity to be a top level qb.

Josh Allen?

Edit: Carson Wentz also? I know he's a bit of an unknown which direction he'll go right now but he was a nearly unanimous MVP candidate before the injury in what turned into a super bowl winning season where he basically assured them a 1st round playoff bye.

Josh Allen went to Junior College then the University of Wyoming.
Can anyone make out what Shanny says to him after he said "I thought you could tell..."

I don't know the answer to your question offhand. But it's funny you mention this because I also went through through high school rankings to see who was highly regarded. Here's a fun exercise: Look at 24/7's top rated high school prospects of all-time. The list is surprising.

You can watch this video about the Championships in 2019. Lance was keeping Rushing yards to 30 ATT and 166 Yards, 1 TDs and 1 Fumbling. He had nothing to throw the balls to guys when he had Passing about 6/10, 72 years. Do you prefer him for Rushing yards than Passer Yards?!? Are you sure about it? I watched this video which made me frustrated and disappointed because he didn't pass the yard!

Let's just say that does not translate

I wouldn't read too much into the limited passing attempts for this game in particular. NDSU were actually slight underdogs in this game and I don't think the receivers were getting open much.

Lol he's not sitting 2 years, y'all delusional if he's not going too play football in 3 years. Stop acting like he's a freshman outta high school

They can't afford Jimmy for 2 years. They need the cap space next year so they can sign all those guys that did one year deals this season. They also need to extend Bosa and Warner. Not having a #1 pick next season also save money.

I don't think Lance is as much of a project as some people think. If he's as bright as Kyle and others say, he could be up and running by mid season which would allow them to trade Jimmy if some desperate team came knocking and offered a first or a couple of 2nd rounders. The system Lance played in at NDSU may have played a roll in their decision to draft him. He may end up being a bust but you can say that about almost every pick. He just has way more upside than the other guys that were available. I would have been fine with Fields too but for whatever reason Kyle liked Lance better.

I'm aware of those lists. We get a lot of them and play against the rest at Bama. Def some outliers and busts but recruiting rankings are pretty good considering the different competition levels around the country.

Yup, that's fair. It's just wild to see that so many of the highly-ranked high school players—although they may do well in college—don't make it in (or even to) the pros. It's really all a gamble.

He was the worst qb on the league last year. And Foles won that super bowl lol.
Point taken though, he was inside coming out of North Dakota. Basically any team could've had him this off season though.

I do know that Herbert was only a 3 star prospect. Not sure where he ranked among QBs out of high school. The thing is kids mature at different rates and some guys are completely different when they're 20 than when they were 17. He's physically much sturdier than Lawrence, Wilson or Jones.

Ah I hear it now, thanks!

I thought I heard something about it "the way we got you a plane" or something.
