Sudfeld and Rosen are playing for emeregency Covid QB should those rules stay in place and a vet can be on practice squad.

Kyle went from having a 'type' of QB that lived inside the pocket and did a 180 to a QB that he can use to expand his run game to have elements of QB keepers. The only element missing from the 49er run game the past two seasons were the zone read concepts, and while Lance may not be asked to run the ball 10 times a game, the option to do that is now something that will be added to the playbook. This expands goal line packages and short yardage situations.

Yeah, he's got a lot to work on. Kurt Warner's game tape showed a bunch of bad decisions. He's going to need one year just to get to the level of competition. Then another year to unlearn some of his bad habits.

I wouldn't be surprised if we ride Jimmy out, if healthy, and then give the keys to Lance in 2023.
