Still can't admit Trent freaking Williams and all the other guys who were supposed to put Trey on their back had a rough week 1 game huh?
And you putting "it's 1 game, who cares" is also hilarious when you're basing the bulk of your assessment on the kid from that game and choosing to bury your head in the sand acting like the rest of the team didn't stink and stink worse given their usual level of play.
No the team didn't stink.. it's a QBs job to elevate everyone around him, that's what good QBs do, that's what a rook Purdy did.
I'm not looking at week 1 with TL not really functional at QB, not accurate and posting about how it's Trent Williams fault..
to put this in perspective CHI finished 32nd in the NFL in points allowed. Dead last 27+ppg avg. TL wasn't ready for week 1 and that's why KS made the 'learning on the fly' remark as we entered the season. Offseason is the best thing to happen to TL he needs it. Can he use these next handful of months to get more consistent putting the ball where he wants, to play with more anticipation?
You tell those bozos!
Trey Lance made Deebo fumble in the redzone.
Trey Lance made the defense commit penalties in key moments and then got them all confused when they busted coverage.
Trey Lance made Trent Williams play the worst game of his season and told the Bears 5th round rookie DE that he was tipping plays.
Trey Lance pissed himself so bad it got the field so wet Jennings couldn't stay inbounds to score a TD.
Trey Lance kicked Elijah Mitchell in the knee and injured him.
I definitely missed some stuff.
No ones a bozo.. ppl just have different takes on football, without which you wouldn't have a WZ..
I agree with the Martz take, TL didn't play well or inspire much of any confidence with his play that day, he looked like a project / work in progress.
by comparison Martz take on Purdy 'he played like a 15 year vet' I think that assessment is right also, it was the most impressive part of BP, he was operating like he'd done it all before at the pro level, totally unfazed. That and his ability to put it right on ppl, dot ppl with his accuracy.
