I'm bringing up his lack of consistency on QBs.

But you know calling out Ring with a meme is far more on topic.

In NFL, these throws are considered layups. Gotta hit your layups. Notice on JFs he has to show his athleticism to get out of a jam. In coverage, it's hard to hold up for 5-7+ secs. On the JF play I count about 7-8 secs prior to ball out of hand.

Yeah where was that energy from you when Jimmy was missing all these "layups" for years!? Look at the freaking field. The bears field is notorious for poor drainage.

fields running has ZERO to do with him tossing up a ball to Pettis standing still with no one around him for 10 yards. That play requires zero on the scale of accuracy. Do. Not. Deflect.

this is textbook projection.

and also f**king hilarious.

Am I wrong?

you're not wrong if you're including yourself as one of the posters who does this egregiously on this forum. especially when it comes to QBs not named Lance.

Hypocrites. Plain and simple.

I would say that TD doesn't happen but for Fields ability to elude rush and buy time.. can't expect coverage to hold up for 8 seconds of time, NFL doesn't work like that. After 8 secs guys uncover / are open.

People should be accountable for what they say. I actually have zero problem with it.

But yes lots of hypocrites.

What does the 2021 playoffs have to do with Justin Fields or Trey Lance?

It has to do with a poster not being consistent in how he grades QBs. It's only excuses for Trey.

So you are discussing a poster rather than the team and bringing Jimmy G into it? There should be a thread for the Butthurt.

I think there's many of those in the politics section.

Here's one that's relevant

And you putting "it's 1 game, who cares" is also hilarious when you're basing the bulk of your assessment on the kid from that game and choosing to bury your head in the sand acting like the rest of the team didn't stink and stink worse given their usual level of play.

No the team didn't stink.. it's a QBs job to elevate everyone around him, that's what good QBs do, that's what a rook Purdy did.

I'm not looking at week 1 with TL not really functional at QB, not accurate and posting about how it's Trent Williams fault..

to put this in perspective CHI finished 32nd in the NFL in points allowed. Dead last 27+ppg avg. TL wasn't ready for week 1 and that's why KS made the 'learning on the fly' remark as we entered the season. Offseason is the best thing to happen to TL he needs it. Can he use these next handful of months to get more consistent putting the ball where he wants, to play with more anticipation?

You tell those bozos!

Trey Lance made Deebo fumble in the redzone.
Trey Lance made the defense commit penalties in key moments and then got them all confused when they busted coverage.
Trey Lance made Trent Williams play the worst game of his season and told the Bears 5th round rookie DE that he was tipping plays.
Trey Lance pissed himself so bad it got the field so wet Jennings couldn't stay inbounds to score a TD.
Trey Lance kicked Elijah Mitchell in the knee and injured him.
I definitely missed some stuff.

His running ability has nothing to do with the difficulty of that throw. zero. It's the same s**t as someone s**tting on Lance throwing to a wide open Deebo. Again keep the same energy up across the board.

A lot of those guys transitioned to this thread
It's exhausting watching you guys debate in here. Meaningful football is 6 months away and opinions of Trey Lance aren't going to change until that time.

No ones a bozo.. ppl just have different takes on football, without which you wouldn't have a WZ..

I agree with the Martz take, TL didn't play well or inspire much of any confidence with his play that day, he looked like a project / work in progress.
by comparison Martz take on Purdy 'he played like a 15 year vet' I think that assessment is right also, it was the most impressive part of BP, he was operating like he'd done it all before at the pro level, totally unfazed. That and his ability to put it right on ppl, dot ppl with his accuracy.

Yep. And they're still trying to bring up Jimmy in here. One thread is not enough Jimmy for them

I'm just tired of the hypocritical bias nonsense. None of what we say matters on bit end of the day.

I disagree 100%.. on the straight drop back you would need all-22 but I assume everyone is covered up, as the reason the ball isn't out, at least JF doesn't see anyone wide open..

Pettis uncovers cuz Fields pulled his Houdini move in the pocket, so Fields athletic ability bought himself a wide open throw and he saw it, completely cross field, and put it on him. It was a good play for JF.
