Drop % (over the last 2 seasons)

Jimmy- 6.2%
Brock- 5.5%
Trey- 11.1%

Trey has played 15 quarters of football and has had Kittle for only 4 of them. Kittle has a career reception % of 74.6%. The only game that Trey had Kittle available to throw the ball to, he completed 69.6% of his passes. Trey has also never had the opportunity to throw the ball to CMC who has a career reception % of 84.7%.

BTT% (over the last 2 seasons)

Jimmy- 2.9%
Brock- 2.0%
Trey- 4.6%

Trey clearly has big time throws at a higher rate. He also has a career ADoT of 9.6 yards while Jimmy had a 7.5 yard average and Brock has a 7.8 yard average.

TWP% (over the last 2 seasons)

Jimmy- 3.9%
Brock- 2.5%
Trey- 3.8%

Brock had a 2.5% TWP rate this past season but he had CMC through of all of his games. Brock does not hesitate to throw the ball away when the play isn't there. Something I have seen Trey do as well. Jimmy's TWP rate over the past 2 seasons is higher than Trey's and that is with CMC for 5 games. In fact, Jimmy, who is reluctant to throw the ball away, had a TWP rate of 1.8% with CMC. That means that Jimmy's was even higher than Trey's if he never got the opportunity to play with CMC this past season. No reason to believe that Trey can't get that number down to somewhere as low as Brock's.

There is absolutely no reason to believe that Trey won't take a leap this year if given the opportunity. Especially with the opportunity to play some extended time with both Kittle and CMC. For those who might try to counter with Trey having such a small sample size. Please don't talk out of both sides of your mouth while saying that same small sample size is enough to know he isn't our guy.

I'm sorry, but these are the types of posts that make my blood pressure boil

BS statistics to fit a narrative. No reason to believe trey won't take a leap? Just look at the picture of his throwing motion on the front page of the zone. Dude is walking like an Egyptian.

Being angry at a stats that don't fit your narrative hahaha k dude.
Always a good laugh when people pretend then know anything about throwing motion and what is good/bad.

even funnier when they use a screen shot to act like it means anything….I can snag screen shots of Mahomes/Wilson/Brock and damn near every QB looking like that pic.

There's absolutely no issues with this throwing motion. Get over it.

Im not being angry at stats. Im Being angry at made up stats. Wtf is a big time throw? Why is treys drop percentage so high? Using kittles completion percentage when trey is playing? What is that like 1 game? How do you gather ANY kind of information from that? And exactly how many passes were thrown to him?

I realized years ago the zone has no requirements for football knowledge to join. So dumb takes don't bother me.

Dude you just said it made your blood boil lol. If you did research you'd understand what everyone of those stats mean…just because you don't understand it doesn't mean they aren't useful. we have more data available now to have quantitative based discussions. We can isolate every damn throw and get data from it. I can rebuttal every single one of those stats you poo pooed, but we've already been down that road.

What is QB rating? What is QBR? Explain to me how they come up with those numbers? explain to me how those aren't made up stats? Should a 5 yard slant to a wide open Deebo that goes for a 75 yard TD hold the same value of throwing a 15 yard out route to a covered BA? It's all debatable stuff and there's always room for those types of discussions when talking about QB play.

Posts claiming Trey will magically become a Top-5 QB because "he's got all the physical traits" / "we invested three 1st" / "Kyle and Lynch couldn't have made a mistake" / "he's basically Josh Allen and he only needs reps to prove it" are pure wishful thinking and dumb.
