Drop % (over the last 2 seasons)
Jimmy- 6.2%
Brock- 5.5%
Trey- 11.1%
Trey has played 15 quarters of football and has had Kittle for only 4 of them. Kittle has a career reception % of 74.6%. The only game that Trey had Kittle available to throw the ball to, he completed 69.6% of his passes. Trey has also never had the opportunity to throw the ball to CMC who has a career reception % of 84.7%.
BTT% (over the last 2 seasons)
Jimmy- 2.9%
Brock- 2.0%
Trey- 4.6%
Trey clearly has big time throws at a higher rate. He also has a career ADoT of 9.6 yards while Jimmy had a 7.5 yard average and Brock has a 7.8 yard average.
TWP% (over the last 2 seasons)
Jimmy- 3.9%
Brock- 2.5%
Trey- 3.8%
Brock had a 2.5% TWP rate this past season but he had CMC through of all of his games. Brock does not hesitate to throw the ball away when the play isn't there. Something I have seen Trey do as well. Jimmy's TWP rate over the past 2 seasons is higher than Trey's and that is with CMC for 5 games. In fact, Jimmy, who is reluctant to throw the ball away, had a TWP rate of 1.8% with CMC. That means that Jimmy's was even higher than Trey's if he never got the opportunity to play with CMC this past season. No reason to believe that Trey can't get that number down to somewhere as low as Brock's.
There is absolutely no reason to believe that Trey won't take a leap this year if given the opportunity. Especially with the opportunity to play some extended time with both Kittle and CMC. For those who might try to counter with Trey having such a small sample size. Please don't talk out of both sides of your mouth while saying that same small sample size is enough to know he isn't our guy.
I'm sorry, but these are the types of posts that make my blood pressure boil
BS statistics to fit a narrative. No reason to believe trey won't take a leap? Just look at the picture of his throwing motion on the front page of the zone. Dude is walking like an Egyptian.
