Let's keep riding that train off the tracks and be let down again an again.

You act like we can't win with him. We f**king blew out the packers in the playoffs with Jimmy handing the ball off 50 times. They put up 150 yards in 17 plays with Lance vs a playoff team his second game as QB1.

This team can win and go to the playoffs with avg QB play. we've seen it. They need elite QB play to win it all..guess what that s**t doesn't magically appear out of thin air. You gotta deal with the ups and downs to get to that point. Signing FA joe blow or broken Jimmy isn't gonna change the outcome.

Yup. Speaking my language brother. We don't want to be good or even great. We want to be world champions!

I actually rewatched the little action he had in the Seattle game and they moved the ball effortlessly. Seattle seemed scared to move with the threat of him taking off up the middle so I see what Shanahan was trying to do with all those QB runs. And I thing it'll work if Lance can stay healthy.

If it wasn't for the storm in Chicago it's a blowout the other way.

I hope he gets a fair look in training camp.

LOL, today this is the Jimmy thread.

No one wants to talk about Trey here.

Everyone run! It's the Woo Police!

Laughing isn't policing. It is weird and amusing how this thread always wanders to other players.

Are you policing my posts here?

It's ok dude. It's the offseason. Just talk football.

That problem was known by this organization before they drafted him. How he gets there is by playing; which was also known and should be common sense but I know it isn't for some. The funniest thing to me in all of this is that some posters seem to be mad or whatever the hell it is with all this at posters who simply want to see him play and see why they spent what they did to get him. Be mad at the organization who drafted him (for those that don't like it) not the fans that want to see why 😂

When they picked Trey the organization didn't know they were going to get CMC, the conference would get very weak, and they'd become the overwhelming favorite in the conference. They didn't know Brock Purdy would come in and play the way he did.

Letting a kid "with all the tools" learn how to play QB with a talented roster sounded like a good idea at the time, but after Brock's emergence it really doesn't anymore. Forcing a kid in there on hopes and dreams that he learns how to play is a slap in the face to the guys on this team. This is probably going to be their best chance at a ring in their careers, it's not time take lumps with a QB that we don't know will ever be good, when there's a QB on the roster that gives them a real chance

Rodgers has been to 1 SB.

Peyton was lucky to win 2.

Brees played in 1.

I don't see this kid being some big ticket to multiple SB championships. He would pretty much have to become Mahomes to make passing this SB window up (to see if he can play) worth it, and that's not happening. Trying to develop him on this roster just doesn't make sense anymore with Brock in the picture

I think thats the problem too, people expecting this kid who basically has played in 4.5 games to step in and become Patrick Mahomes/All World. I can't remember the last time a QB who had basically one season starting, drafted in the top 5 become a Super Bowl Champion. Louis Reddick called Trey Lance a phenomenal talent, WTF is so phenomenal about him??? I know Trey Lance is gonna start the season, hopefully this time his phenomenal talent will start to show itself.

Yea I didn't see the talent either. I think the physical traits and just how green he was is what made him so appealing. Like we are getting to him early and can form him into what we want. I think that's proving to be way harder than they thought lol.

Im not saying Brock is a lock. If he falters then Trey gets another shot, but with this team winning isn't enough. It wasn't enough for Jimmy and it shouldn't be enough for Trey. He needs to be the best QB on the roster. If not, then like I explained, it doesn't make sense to play him
I think what some fans are really afraid of is Trey actually succeeding.

We have no idea when Brock will be back and ready to play. Until then, it's Trey's job to lose. If Trey performs poorly, Brock will get the job back. If Trey performs well, Brock may never get his job back and that is what I think some fans in here are actually afraid of.

No we just don't think it's impossible that John and Kyle invested so much and missed, and we're not afraid to admit it. Trey proving to be worth his draft capital is the best possible outcome we could have

lol so Brock is better than Manning/Rogers/Brees? He's some big ticket to win multiple SBs?

yeah developing a QB with high upside on a fantastic roster is the worst thing in the world. He should develop on a s**t roster with bad coaching because that's got a great track record derp

Lol b******t… acting like it's a missed pick after 100 passing attempts is such a trash way to try and convince people that you were right.

Can't imagine the horrible takes you'd have about allen/hurts/manning/Lawrence and a s**t ton of bad QB play that came within their first 100 passes

Been almost 20 years since SF invested a high end pick for a QB. Some people in here show that they've never been through that experience (zero patience) or simply doesn't understand the process of all it.

Brock is injured. We ain't waiting on Brock just as we didn't wait on Trey. We are moving on and we have an offseason to get Trey ready. We are trying to win it all and we have the players to do so. Trey is already working as you're complaining about us waiting on Brock who is trying to get his swelling down so he can undergo surgery and then rehab. We're moving on with Trey and those players aren't QBs and they've gotten paid and went to Cabo so they have nothing to say but to do their jobs

They saw the Super Bowl and they know we need Trey to put in the work and be great. They also know we have to get Brock ready to go as well so he can be great. It just seems our fans don't realize that. It must really suck hating that Trey is gonna play and there's nothing that can be done about it

We have real talents on this board talking about it makes no sense to play Trey when we have Brock forgetting that we have no Brock until the season starts and Brock has no offseason. The reverse is true about Trey so we're going roll with him because he is the best option and quite honestly Kyle not the other players or fans picked Trey just for this and he's gonna see it through this summer and to start this season

Could be him could be Brock. There's gonna be down moments and development with both…people can't handle that even though we haven't had steady pro-bowl quality QB play in 25 years.
