Love the subjective takes.

What's the real story then walter cronkite?

Wrong. We are discussing a slightly different point. Which is, given realistic assessments of everyone's capabilities, health, and development, who gives us the best chance to win games in september? It's not that we don't want trey to do great.

Trey coupled with the pieces that can be added by not paying 20 million out for Jimmy.

Or a bunch of picks for that matter..

Picks are a lottery ticket. Spending money actually has tangible effects (Buckner).

Completely blows my mind that some of our fans would want a QB that literally no one else wants. Yet here we are.

You make up a hypothetical, then says it blows your mind when it hadnt even happened yet. Lol

I make up a hypothetical? You Jimmy stans are something else. It was NOT me who made up this hypothetical.

Here you go:

If its march 30 and jimmy hasn't signed with anyone, and we haven't signed anyone, why shouldn't we start dating?

Terrible post, per usual, Jose.

It's cool that you don't understand the financial realities of the NFL.

Or a bunch of picks for that matter..

The point of Lance was to get to that next level at QB. Not have to support and prop up the QB (and still have to pay a f**k ton of money in the process).

People are unwilling to even let that unfold or have a chance to grow.

as far as my comment above, we're talking about a backup QB. Not signing prime Rogers or something.

That was the plan 2 years ago. Yawn. What's the plan for september?

It's cool that you support 49er executives when they make our franchise a laughing stock in the nfl.
1 year 30 mil 🤣

No chance of that happening thank god

Yah the difference between the 9ers being a contender and a laughingstock is Jimmy freaking Garoppolo.

Even if Brock were healthy you'd want Jimmy back. You want him to start. You have no use for Trey or Brock. Stop pretending you give a damn about any other QB not named Jimmy.

It could be as simple as Jimmy's agent telling them we won't be signing with SF or Kyle simply being done with Jimmy because he can't be counted on.

Is that not spicy enough for you?

Yeah you're right we should have just paid Jimmy another $150M to watch him not throw TDs in the playoffs or sit on the sideline and smile.

you want that elite level QB or at least a chance at getting one, it more than often costs draft picks.

who said 150m? that's crazy. not me. never said that or even thought it. who is the liar now.

Point of Lance to get a next level QB.. sure, point is more than one way to do it, turns out with this roster pick 262 can do it

People are unwilling.. who cares? what you mean posters on a web forum? doesn't matter what they say KS will set the chart, like always

False. And we're talking about multi 1st round draft picks for a player with very little AV so far. Not jimmy.

I could see someone like Marcus Mariota as a backup here. ATL will likely cut him. Maybe he wants to live closer to home with a new born? He ran a similar offense in ATL.

I see a lot of vet backups looking at SF favorably. First off well the QB situation overall and secondly it's kyle. He's gonna put whomever is QB in a great situation to have success.

I think that would be a nice backup. He's real athletic. He's pretty big. He was a high pick. Not a bad backup for the QB room I think.
