All the beat writers said that Purdy was worse than Lance and even Sudfeld in training camp.

Nobody could have thought that Purdy would improve so much during the season.
He was good in pre-season. I liked what he did against the Packers. But I would never have thought for one second that this kid would be so good as a rookie. He was the best QB of the two games yesterday. And we´re talking about Geno, Herbert and Lawrence.

He comes into next season as BCBs backup and gets traded in the 2024 off-season

At least he will have 2 rings to take with him to his next team

No doubt both will only get better. But the team has responded to Brock Purdy!!!

Trey had his chances. It sucks the injuries never really allowed us to see his potential, but then again the few games we did see him eg Arizona, Houston, Chicago he didn't have that wow factor that Brock does.

Regardless, if you look at it from Kyle's perspective he has WAY more trust in Purdy than he did with Trey.

Knowing Jimmy is gone, it's great that Trey will be around just continuing to learn and back up Brock if he goes down. Maybe he'll get his chance and show why he was drafted at the 3 spot.

I think the soonest we can start thinking about that is 2024. Just be happy we have 2 young talented QB's on the roster.

Man if the niners just used those picks wasted on trey to shore up the secondary and oline/edge with purdy as qb.
