Not sure what is the point in comparing measurables to less successful QB. We are discussing potential limited by physical and athletism. I believe a mobile Drew Brees is a high enough ceiling.

There are a lot of QB with great measurables who are busts. Do you want to compare that to Trey? What is the point?

No he does not.

so we're gonna compare a guy that was drafted 32 to a kid that was drafted 262 because they're both short and white?

Titans haven't gotten that memo

Mahomes would still be on the bench apparently

Doesn't look or play anything like him. Weird comparison.

that talking point also dictates a player cant really improve from draft to debut.

And I never said that. I said his measureables and arm talent is a reason why he dropped. That's not made up…never said he couldn't improve or be the next Brees.

I don't get the Brees comps. Dude is so mobile.

The comp was, Purdy can be a mobile Drew Brees.

Is it because of the arm strength perception?

The reason there are busts is because scouting and projecting player development is not an exact science. That is why what the team scouts and coaching staffs thought of Trey 2 years ago is not that relevant, because they can be wrong.

The reason there are busts is do to a ton of things. He was relevant enough to try and trade Jimmy and make Lance the starter THIS year. They loved Brock so much that they used the last pick in the draft.

This wasn't just the scouts. It was all the FO, ownership and Kyle when it comes to Lance. You're out of your damn mind if you think they're just done with him after 4QRs and two drives as the starter. Like I said you never wanted him drafted and you have motivates behind your comments. Gaslighting and all

Anyone calling Trey a bust at this point is extremely disingenuous. There isn't enough tape to make that judgement. What he is/is not is still TBD

I've seen comparisons to Matt Barkley, case Keenum and Chase Daniels…doesn't mean that's what he will be.

1st round QB, probably roughly half of them are busts. Sure all of the team using a 1st round pick have high hopes, but half end up failing anyway.

I think you are the one gaslighting by somehow saying I don't want him to succeed. What is your motivation on this?

As Tom Brady and Kurt Warner said, draft position is not that relevant.

Now bring up the hundreds of QBs that didn't turn into Kurt and Brady…stop using outliers to proclaim anything. Maybe Brock turns into the next Brady, history says otherwise. Just enjoy the games now and worry about the future when it's time to worry about it.

And even more QBs drafted past the 1st fail at an even higher rate…I haven't seen you post one positive thing about lance. Don't talk to me about gaslighting bud, your posts are all over here doing just that.

Of course no one should have that hope for a 7th rounder, unless that player came on the field and ball out.

Purdy did exactly that in his first 3 games. That itself is a BIG outlier.

This is a 1 year example. Will it look like that of we use 25 years of data?
