If you believe that, then the CT thread in the Lot is the place to go, but a quote from some old git saying that he had been told this is not going to prove anything.
Predicting - and calling it a fact is simply abusing the meaning of words, much as you do with "belief" - a 49ers Patriots super bowl is not that radical. Most neutral observers would probably go that way. Saying that is nothing special. But who will win and what will the score be? Because if the game is fixed the score will have been decided for the spread bettors. So post it here and now, winner and spread or score and I will secure the thread from any tampering until after the event. And if you don't, won't or can't, that will conclude the discussion.
And when you have done that, stop. Take this subject exclusively to the Parking Lot. And that is not a request. I asked you politely before, now I am telling you.
look, unless I'm insulting someone or arguing. youre monitoring is overboard and not needed. Its just sports talk.
you dont like it? all you have to do is scroll past the little text box.
if we're friends at the bar, you dont disown me for views you dont like. I say my thing, you say yours and life goes on.
whether sports is staged or not, its the most trivial thing on earth. You turn on your tv. watch a team win or lose.. and then on about your boring mundane life. I realize you cant handle too much. I wont type long orations. But i will make real and truthful remarks after wins and losses as I see fit. I'll view sports my way. You view it yours. its nothing you need to control or be upset about. Its just trivial sports talk.

except that i made it in august when no one thought Niners were anything. And i'm also a Rams fan who said they/Rams would have a poor year lol.
i'm not just talking about stabbing at predictions. I'm talking about knowing ,finding clues before hand that have nothing to with football knowledge.
you cant grasp it because it takes more than a night to realize its going on. I'm 54 and have been studying this for 4 years.
if youll notice, I havent been here much till the season started. I specifically came because I expected this Team to do well. Apparently I'm right.
take it easy, Happy ThanksGiving !

So, please show facts that games in the NFL are fixed. Facts. If you can't, then you don't know, you have an opinion or you believe.
I'll be waiting for the facts. If you can't produce facts showing fixed games, let's chill on the arguing and keep the thread on topic.
except that has to rely on your perception as well. you "believe" things that arent real or true. I can give you an absolute fact that is proof.
but youll have trouble comprehending it because of your years of letting tv condition your thoughts.
this is an absolute fact that sports is staged: every week , multiple games come down to the final two minutes, shot, drive.field goal, inning, down , etc.
thats not possible in reality. in the real world , the majority of games would be boring. Over and pretty much decided by the 3rd qtr..
the longer they keep you watching, the more product they sell or influence you in some way with ads etc..
thats proof. The problem is you cant grasp it as proof. And I already showed you a direct quote from an ex player that says he was told by public relations to the entire team. you play to entertain, not to win. That was in the 60s. That means theyve perfected this philosophy and training over decades.
its a billion dollar business. You think theyll let just any random team win? no, theyll do what sells the most. Or what they influence you to believe sells the most and reels you in.

College sports fixed as well? High school? Rec? A lot of those games come down to the last couple minutes too...I played, and I coach now. No one informed me that I was supposed to rig everything to make it exciting at the end. It just works out that way.

Lol. Some player from the 60s is your proof? Buddy, players have been saying that more recently since then. Its just dumb interpreting it that way. Bc there are plenty of Nfl, baseball, basketball players, who dont really care about winning and are just there to have fun and get a paycheck. But no way does that mean its scripted, no idea how you can possibly get to that conclusion.
Once again, show some actuall proof on this. Just show me ONE player, ref, coach, from any major sports league, acknowledging that these players are actors, or they fall down on purppse, and that all these games are fixed and the out come is predetermined. Out all the hundred of thousands of present and past professional athletes, this shouldnt be that hard.
As far as games being close a lot, ya its the best in the world going up against other players who are the best in the world. I mean you sound like you never played any competitve sports in your life. Of course games are gonna be close if its two good teams playing oe two bad teams. Ive played basketball, hockey, and baseball, and believe it or not we had plenty of close games and im not a trained actor lmao.
If your proof is that games cant be that close, then that means that every thing is scripted. From the spelling bee to chess tournaments, to even water polo and darts. Bc every form of competition that involves people really f**king good at, are gonna be close and competitive.

Ok, this thread is for discussing commercials. There is a CT thread in the Lot. Go there if you want to continue this one.

I have zero issue with you believing sports are fixed and stating it. I do have issue with how you are doing it. I know English put you on a minor TO, but I can tell right now this relationship isn't going to work out. You aren't going to talk to English, or anyone else, and be allowed to stay.

I do wonder if Jimmys one recorded date with a pornstar will make him less family friendly and hence, less marketable.
