there can't be many QBs out there looking forward to Buck up the center, Arik again right with him(but this time looking for the qB who is usually right in front of him), Dee from R and Nick from L . And sometimes they switch. The unapppreciated thing is we also got Ron Blair to give one or the other of our DEs a blow, which is a Godsend.

DTs get a blow almost every two plays and DJ Jones doesnt' give up anything. When in, Julian looked good inside, and Solly has had his snaps cut. I wish they weren't all inside but that isnt the case now. I made a point of having 8 DTs and 2 DEs, but Blair has to be counted now as good DE.

As for DTs, they face the crush and rotating them in has been huge for the DL. Maybe we have too many, maybe not. But Blair is definitely DE now.. Just think for a moment about those OLs who have to face the starting DL , and then see the DTs rotated in, fresh as ever ...it has to psych out the OLs after a while. And they slow down as we keep going. Have to admit i am coming around to having more DLs than i would have liked...but it sure works when you got talent like Nick and Dee on the outisde.

This sounds like a sound bite from our super bowl dvd at the end of the year. I can dig it

Bosa weighs about 30 lbs heavier than Ford, so Ford better have a get off.

Anyone else concerned about Dee Ford and his long term prospects?

We invested heavily in a dude who looks to have a chronic knee problem.

We invested heavily in a RB who hasn't played a snap for us in 2 years. s**t happens, we will see!

Kyle and Lynch keep on signing players with prior serious injuries. Kwon is another guy who's coming off an ACL - they're rolling the dice on these guys.

The truth is simple.....

it is VERY difficult to buy what Ford has.

There are only so many dudes on this planet that can do what he does.

You could give a guy 30 million, and only have him play in 2 games. If they are the RIGHT two games and it leads to a Super Bowl.... It was money well spent.

Unless the 49ers catch lighting in a bottle this year, they need Ford for the next couple post seasons.

No, bc its just pain, he can manage that. Short bursts of speed or cutting isnt keeping his perfomance down. If he had to jump a lot, thats where it would be an issue.

Very concerned . I'm just hoping we get a solid two years out of him. Hopefully figure out a replacement in the mean time to roll out with Bosa .

If I was KS or JL, I would have done the same trade they did, no question.
Ford is just incredible.
He wins with speed, technique and power.
