We can deal him for multiple high picks. It's OK. He has huge injury potential with his style of play anyway. Giving him a huge cap number can bust us too.

Eh. I don't think fans are overreacting. It's a legit concern that we could lose another key player before the season begins, not to mention the Issues regarding the O-Line.

When panicking over baseless rumors your over reacting.

Didn't he request to be traded though? That's a concern. We could still get a deal done, but it's ok to be concerned.

So the media says. Nothing factual about the demand for trade.

Or…. Extend Deebo and cut Jimmy once he's healthy.

that makes to much sense to the haters of deebo and is against the law to the lovers of jimmy

Can't extend someone who doesn't want to bed here, not unless he has a change of heart.

Not til I hear him come out and say that will I believe it.

He already came out and said it imo... he asked to be traded.. he didn't ask for x amount of dollars to be paid.. he asked to get the heck outta here..

Link Please?

he's now actively seeking a trade, according to ESPN, requesting a move out of town after breaking off negotiations with 49ers brass.

"(Samuel) did not want to discuss specific reasons behind his request," Jeff Darlington reported Wednesday, "but he has indeed let the 49ers know his desire to leave the organization." NFL Media adds that Samuel's official request reached the 49ers front office more than a week ago, hence the two sides' halted contract talks.

"San Francisco wants to pay Deebo Samuel, but Deebo Samuel was the one who scrubbed the 49ers logos off his social media page," ESPN's Adam Schefter previously reported Tuesday. "Deebo Samuel was the one that essentially, basically made it known he wanted to move on. San Francisco would pay Deebo Samuel today, tomorrow, the next day. It's not hard to figure out what the contract would look like. ... This ... is Deebo Samuel not wanting to get a deal done."

Still awaiting link to him saying it. I'll wait.
Deebo never directly said he didn't want a trade

Why the f**k would he? That would be dumb during negotiations..
yet hear we are ..Trade talk still going strong nation wide

Who cares about talk from fans and media folks trying to justify their existence in the offseason.

I miss the days of waiting for Pro Football Weekly or, for a short time, the National daily.

People try to make a huge deal out of everything.

It is gossip.

It's the off-season. The nfl is like a soap opera for grown men. Of course the are going to be emotionally invested in every little detail. That the way it is now. If this offends you check the newspaper every week lmao. Times have changed

Or I can mock the behavior here.

Point is with Deebo it's different. We need to know if he's willing to sign a real deal or not. The draft is fast approaching. Deebo commands heavy draft compensation via trade in ways that Robbie Gould and Mostert don't. Per league sources like Schefter money isn't the issue. We are offering the blank check. That's his comment that SF is willing to pay the man, today, tomorrow, the next day. If Deebo won't sign a Hill / Adams type offer then what are we doing here? I don't want him skipping every offseason activity that is not required or going through the motions cuz he's not having his trade request honored. If he won't sign and it's not a dollars issue and he wants to be out of town let's honor it, get major draft comp, move on.

Per Schefter we were drafting Mac Jones this time last yr and Deebo doesn't want to be in CA...both things have already been proven wrong. You have no idea what SF has offered, so let's spot pretending like you do.

Maybe you can enlighten us NYniner85 since you were in the room you can tell us about the negotiations right? Until you enlighten us in this way I'll have to rely on Adam Schefter a guy who makes a living reporting on the NFL...

this one also..

As a matter of fact, ESPN.com reported on Wednesday that the 49ers WANT to pay Samuel, but it's not happening because he's cut off all contract talks with the team.

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/deebo-samuel-trade-rumors-heres-the-main-reason-why-the-49ers-star-wants-out-of-san-francisco-per-report/

I'm not acting like I know what was offered....stop acting like you know what was offered. That's my point.

the amount of gossip girl crap from insiders that turn into BS a week later is comical. Stop acting like everything be force fed to you is true because there's a LONG track record of it being a bunch of s**t. These dude don't have repercussions for saying s**t that turns out false.

Also I'm not saying he's not getting moved...I'm saying jumping to conclusions when s**t changes every damn day is foolish.

I don't know what is offered too man so same boat. Simple point is there are 2 real outcomes. One we trade. Two we don't. If we trade we would probably need to get it done before the draft. So very soon. Trade after the draft would be a botch job.

What's worrying is reports that he won't accept top dollar to play here. If those are false reports then so be it.. even so I don't see him coming close to doing what he did last year. Even if he did the injury risk is off the charts with the ridiculous usage. I'm kinda of the opinion just ship him out for a huge haul, let's rock the draft, free up tons of future cash not going to this guy, add a FA receiver.. Don't need this ongoing saga into the offseason when it should be about TL his development he's working hard right now with BA let's let BA be the #1.

What a massive waste of time lol. Made for a great draft and a bunch of SF fans crying tears of joy though.

I don't believe for one second that he wouldn't accept top dollar to play here...just a week ago his insta said $25M nothing less. So that's the number.

If he had zero intensions of resigning here....then the trade discussions would have happens months ago, not a week before the draft.
