I don't know what is offered too man so same boat. Simple point is there are 2 real outcomes. One we trade. Two we don't. If we trade we would probably need to get it done before the draft. So very soon. Trade after the draft would be a botch job.

What's worrying is reports that he won't accept top dollar to play here. If those are false reports then so be it.. even so I don't see him coming close to doing what he did last year. Even if he did the injury risk is off the charts with the ridiculous usage. I'm kinda of the opinion just ship him out for a huge haul, let's rock the draft, free up tons of future cash not going to this guy, add a FA receiver.. Don't need this ongoing saga into the offseason when it should be about TL his development he's working hard right now with BA let's let BA be the #1.

I don't believe for one second that he wouldn't accept top dollar to play here...just a week ago his insta said $25M nothing less. So that's the number.

If he had zero intensions of resigning here....then the trade discussions would have happens months ago, not a week before the draft.

Didn't Rappaport state that the request was done weeks ago? Probably before he scrubbed the team on Instagram. Now I agree that teams haven't discussed trade because of how the timeline appears based on the assumption that the team has no intention of trading him.

The way I look at it is the team probably said no to the request and he got upset. He then Scrubbed the team that day to show how serious he was. Weeks later Schefter reports the team wants to pay him but Deebo doesn't want to do a deal. Deebo and his agent take that and decide to give their side of it by telling Darlington they requested to be traded. In between the request and yesterday I doubt any talks with other teams occurred. Because of yesterday's announcement, teams probably called and asked what it would take in which John Lynch made some unreal demand that if met they would consider it. All the while knowing no one will do it. Then Schrager reports that other GMs who have made contact quickly tell him he isn't getting traded.

Simply put, Deebo will only be traded if a team offers something ridiculous. Otherwise he will stay. These talking heads saying the #10 pick for Deebo may look at that as fair, but that's only the case if the 49ers are interested in trading him. Now, there may be a compromise but it will have to include a 1st round pick. Could be both Jets 2nd rounders this year and their 1st next year, but won't be what the Hill offer was for.

You got a FQB the receivers don't even matter they take care of themselves. Makes everyone around better. Who were TB12s receivers? He didn't win the bowl with Moss. He won with Edelman, Amendola, Branch, Troy Brown.. fine players all but megastars.. nope. All he needed a great TE.. check... great coach... we have that... and an opportunity. This will be the best year of 49er football since 94. Deebo, you can get in on this SB Express or you can bail on us now choice is yours. At the end of the day it doesn't even matter. Widebacks don't run this league. FQBs do.

Tom Brady won his last Superbowl with Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Antonio Brown and Rob Gronkowski.

Why did Tom Brady leave the Patriots I forgot?

Point he's making is that you need to have a bunch of elite WRs to be a successful team. Brady was the main reason they won, not Godwin or whatever other WR. QB/Defense/HC>>>>WRs.

The problem with this is that Deebo is a precedent setter. Deebo isn't just a WR who's great at running back, too. He's a guy that confuses defenses. Him being able to be a threat outside, in the slot, as a runner on outside zone, as a runner on inside zone, as a route runner from the backfield, and as a decoy itself (and a double decoy when he is designed to LOOK like a decoy but actually is the main event, like the 3rd and 7 run against Green Bay), you force the defense to react to you and not dictate.

That's more valuable than simply being called "wide receiver."
insert that meme of the Office where one whiteboard says "A.J. Brown" and the other says "Deebo Samuel".

And Pam says "they're the same picture"

JIMMY G.

He's the main and #1 reason why the 9ers didn't make the SB and could have won it this past season. The reason why it was a harder road just to get to the NFCC championship. Why the 9er loss the SB few years ago. And why they don't have the money yet to pay deebo. Even Jimmy G himself knows it LOL!!!! Same reason why Tyreek and Davante left KC AND GB, their QB is hogging all the money, greed, that is the status of the NFL today.

Jimmy's contract takes away some possible contract structures for Deebo, but the standard WR new deal? Not so much. Bonus money can be paid all at once but not fully count against the cap, counting instead a portion each season. It's entirely possible to give Deebo a massive contract right now. Just have to structure it a certain way.

OH and he has a real punchable face. He's perfect for Boston ( I do actually prefer Boston to NYC)

Except he put his team in position to beat Brady in Primetime except his kicker missed a FG. Gave his team the lead late versus Dak only to lose in OT. He beat Justin Herbert.

I think he proved he can hang with the elite

How do you figure that? A second year QB, losing several key role players, including at offensive line (the position you already claim was bad) and defensive line, and a starter in the secondary (so far). And possibly the best player on the team?

You got to be trolling.

What do you mean with the bolded I never said our line was bad.. you may be mixing me up with someone else..

We went 3-1 vs the SB teams, were in the final four of the NFL... with busted up Jimmy. Now we upgrade from JG to a field-stretching, TD-rushing dynamic playmaker stud QB yet we are supposed to regress..

and to suggest we are in even better shape moving from JG to Trey is "trolling"..

Oh boyyy
I am dying to know what our offer is. It must be insulting lol

Or…. Extend Deebo and cut Jimmy once he's healthy.

that makes to much sense to the haters of deebo and is against the law to the lovers of jimmy

Can't extend someone who doesn't want to bed here, not unless he has a change of heart.

Not til I hear him come out and say that will I believe it.

He already came out and said it imo... he asked to be traded.. he didn't ask for x amount of dollars to be paid.. he asked to get the heck outta here..

Yeah then he made a post about how reporters job is to make stories. That was actually something he said. The demanding a trade was a reporter saying he said that. But it doesn't fit your narrative I know

49erFaithful6's narrative is to overpraise Lance sarcastically because he's still salty about Jimmy failing to live up to the hope we all had in 2017.

Yeah I did hear that....if guys like AS, Rapp and everyone else knew this why didn't they report it when it happened?

I agree the only way he get's move is if it's something ridiculous
I don't think the Niners will trade Deebo. No way Kyle signs off on that. I think they'll dump Jimmy, give Deebo his money, spend an early pick on a RB and agree to not use Deebo as a running back with the exception of a few gadget plays. We need to patch this relationship because Deebo is too special.

This. I wish we could trade Deebo for AJ Brown and be done with this s**t

Yeah bro its the money. I wouldnt rule out wanting to be closer to home, but after he senr that social media... its the money.

So now Kyle has to get involved and fix this. I cannot imagine Kyle allowing Deebo to leave.. no damn way..

Which means Lynch and Paraag have to take a step back. They may have been playing their numbers game, but Deebo strikes me an emotional and loyal guy which means he took it personal. That is a reflection on Lynch and Paraag as they are supposed to understand their players imo.... even if you can also call Deebo immature etc.

Are they trading Deebo or are they going to hold him hostage?

That's more valuable than simply being called "wide receiver."

If he takes that away by demanding to be a tradition WR, then his value sinks, IMO.

Without that guessing game, he and the team he's playing for suffers statistically.

I'm not convinced he'd be a marquee traditional WR.
