Yeah but we can find that on day 3 of the draft...totally replaceable

I bet you they had an entire contract in mind for like 18mill and then this off-season happened lmao. Everything catches them off guard.
I said it before- no reason not to extend him for 4-5 years. He is a 49er. He's loved by his teammates. Just pay him tol dollar.
If the concern is injury, than they need to work that out so it's fair to both sides.
We joke about tags and trades, but can you imagine our locker room if we did that? It would be a mutiny.

Deebo is not replaceable. But I'm not about to scold people for wanting to trade him. Because it's entirely possible he doesn't stay healthy over the next 3-5 years.
I would absolutely keep him. But with any of these players… nothing is certain in terms of availability.

The only thing certain is that Deebo is a superstar in this league. His health is as much a question mark as if a player drafted will be worth a s**t.
I'll be SHOCKED if Deebo doesn't sign a long term deal with the Niners eventually and would be a huge black eye on the organization

see, thats the thing... no one can tell you who we replace him with. and does that person do just as much or more than deebo.
That's a circular argument though. I also hope Deebo gets a new contract here, but the FO needs to set what they think is the most they are willing to pay him ( fair value )......they don't pay him whatever he wants just because they're not sure exactly who will replace him if he gets traded.

We just cannot afford to loose him. We just can't. There's just no replacing him.
Why do we need to replace him? Healthy RBs and actually throwing to our #1 WR would make up that production.

Deebo literally carried this offense single handedly last season.
Same people that wants Deebo to get paid as the highest non-QB after one good year are the same people who complained nonstop about the Niners giving Jimmy G a huge contract after 5 games..😂😂

He wants $$$ now because he is going to turn 27 this year and he is being used as a RB and has huge injury risk. We could always threaten to franchise him for a couple years in a row and eat up his prime that way, but I think we will figure out a way to get him "paid enough" because it is mutually beneficial. I disagree that just anyone can replace him - in that role, at least....I have never seen a WR run with that kind of toughness and vision out of the backfield, and I am 54. If we resigned Mostert it would've given us the opportunity to replace some of those big play carries Deebo routinely gets, but the guys we have now aren't built that way.

I think he gets an offer of 20-25m per but with a lot of his money guaranteed up front during Lances rookie deal.

He was the #1 WR.
He's taking the Cohn route with hot takes to get some attention.
