Worse. they think we can take a scrub off the street like kyle does with running backs and make him deebo.. or some think. because we have trey.. there is no need for deebo

we keep him and sign him. that is your solution.,

Yes, we sign/extend him. But if the reports are true, that he's wanting to be the highest paid non-QB, then we tag him when his rookie deal is up. We simply cannot pay him that much. The, if necessary, tag him again. Will he like it? Nope! But at least we retain his services.

There are some players who can be replaced. Then, there are those players so important to a scheme that "replacing" him would be such a problem to the offense/defense that you damn-near need to overhaul the scheme. Deebo is the latter. For what Shanny wants to offensively Deebo is just irreplaceable. The way I see it we simply don't have a lot of options. Paying him what he reportedly wants is out of the question. So I see him being tagged.

I find that extremely hard to believe, but I'll take your word for it.

Kyle is a genius when it comes to scheming for players, but to think he can turn a scrib off he street into Deebo would be idiotic.
I think tagging him would be the worst thing possible. If that's ever being considered than might as well trade him now. Because no way, he comes back after that.

Just pay the man (not highest non QB, which I doubt the reports are even true) when it's feasible cap wise (after cutting Jimmy) and get it done.

For the mean time, they just need let him know that they have every intention of paying him within he too 5 WRs in the league and it will get done.

No way, should he be paid less or even close to Christian Kirk. Not that it needs saying lol

Trey is going to need every weapon available this year while he gets adjusted to the league.

Kyle is no dummy. He knows what Deebo means to his offense.

I highly doubt Kyle or Lynch are taking his as personal as some on the WZ.

I'm some situations it makes sense. But, never with your star players.

Fair enough. But what if the reports are true?

Then it gets tricky. I could see eiher side of the argument.

Also, I'll be glad to not be making the final decision lol
Wow. I did not know George Kittle's agent called 49ers initial opening offer "the valentine massacre." I wonder how brutal our FO is with opening offers to piss a loyal 49er like Deebo off.

The Yorks aren't known for their generosity. Jed and Paraag still control the purse strings, clearly.

The 49ers have an established ethos for their valuation of talent. It has burned us in the past, but it's also saved us numerous times (Jimmy G, Alex Smith are two that come to mind).

It's a healthy push pull. As long as it gets resolved, no harm done.
