Soooo this whole Trey Lance situation continues to workout how I thought. They had no plan when the trade was made and it's obvious they have got themselves stuck with the JG situation.
The whole trading the figure for a qb on rookie contract doesn't work if you can't get rid of the other.
Also, as I've been saying, these players know that Trey is going to struggle. Deebo WILL NOT PLAY WITHOUT AN EXTENSION because he knows the offense is going to be awful when teams figure out that Trey cannot play from the pocket. The only way Deebo will get the consistently is handoffs and the defense will sit on that.
Deebo is going to have to be way overpaid to stay.
Btw it's hilarious to see NYNiner in here acting like he knows exactly what's going to happen. Same way he was in the JG trade value thread, same he said Lance would start early, Mac Jones couldn't play, etc. Have some humility till you get something right
It's hilarious to see you turn it into a Trey Lance issue. I know you love them but get off my nuts. Seriously it's weird.
I didn't say Lance would start early. I said depending how Jimmy plays I could see him taking over after the bye week. I said the best way to develop him was to play him, which is a totally different topic. I never said Mac couldn't play. I said his ceiling is lower compared to the other draft prospects. I didn't want to replace Jimmy with the same thing… Bravo he beat out a one armed Cam Newton and played avg football.
When you gonna realize no one in here thinks your special and you're not better than anyone else? No one thinks your football smart and you come off as arrogant…you haven't earned the right or the benefit of the doubt.
You talk down to everyone, somewhat personally. I only do that to people who have done that to me. Obviously, I'm no oracle, but I do know the game pretty well and most who see my posts, if they are being honest with themselves, can say, yeah he's an a hole and negative, but he's been pretty spot on regarding last years draft and about some of those predictions.
And yes, Max played above average qb, making the playoffs and pro bowl. Which is quite remarkable for a one year starter in college. Even if it was pretty much tied with the best season of all time with burrows junior year.
Maybe in your mind you think folks feel this way about your football acumen, but I can assure you that's not the case. Quite the opposite actually lol.
