Ten pounds is not much to get rid of for these athletes.

People who have never played have no idea how hard it is to gain weight during the season as a player. You're literally burning a week's worth of calories on gamedays. Throw in the practices and weight room, and it's impossible to outeat your caloric deficit, let alone put on 10 lbs in 3 weeks.

Like the idea is so dumb that it's offensive.

It reminds me of the "yeah if he can just put on 40 pounds of muscle in the off-season he will be great" crowd.

LOL, I gain all kinds of weight during the season NOW. Oh, wait, you said as a player. In college, the training staff made me add ice cream to every lunch and dinner to try and slow my weight loss. That was in addition to me eating a family size Godfather's pizza by myself (with a salad bowl of ranch dressing to dip it in) at least once a week.

Man, I miss having a metabolism.

BUt yeah, there's no way he gained 10 pounds in 3 weeks midseason. Love you mayo, but you're missing the mark on this one.
Deebo is like some of my cousins. He's strong as an ox but he carries a lot of weight on his lower body. This actually increases his lower body explosiveness the muscle weight he has from the butt down. Some dudes especially on my mother's side of the family are built that way. Those cousins were powerful and tough to bring down and they had a lot of quick twitch and were very elusive. They're not fat but in a phone booth it's hard to contain them as well as it's hard to get away from them

I'm not asking him to get rid of 40 pounds - just 10 pounds will do the trick.

I might be wrong on this - but, putting on 10 pounds in a month is not a huge thing.

I don't think he's built to easily lose ten pounds because of his stature
