Lawsuit Over Saints No-Call Will Again Show That A Ticket Guarantees Fans A Seat And Little Else
For example, in Mayer v. Belichick, the Third Circuit rejected a $184.8 million lawsuit filed by a New York Jets fan against New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick for his alleged role in the secret videotaping of signals from Jets coaches in the "Spygate" case.
"[t]his ticket only grants entry into the stadium and a spectator seat for the specified NFL game."
...Other courts have made similar statements as to the absence of a cause of action arising out of bad performance or, more generally, the subjective expectations of the ticket-holders.

In short, the NFL can create any outcome it wants to optimize entertainment value and maximize revenue...create any outcome it wants like the WWE. Your ticket is nothing more than a license to sit and view that entertainment, no matter the outcome.
Fun stuff. LOL
