Even tho I despise the Eagles, I'd love for Lord Fangio to get a ring. Dude has been an elite DC at multiple locations for decades now, and his fingerprints and influence are all over the league in the same way Shanahan's are.

Fangio is 0-7 against against Reid/Maholmes, and has the opportunity to change that in 12-16 hours.

This is Vic Fangio's moment. He's been a great DC and well-respected in the NFL since long before he became the 49ers' DC in 2011. The one thing he is missing is a Super Bowl ring. While I can't root for either team playing today in Super Bowl LIX, I can root for Vic Fangio to finally add Super Bowl winning DC to his list of accomplishments.

I don't know, but I was pounding the table for Fangio. I said he was the only candidate I'd scrap the scheme for and restart. I've always been a huge Lord Fangio fan. Hell, I started this thread.

Also you cant tell me Zach Baum was thought of as even a good linebacker, let alone an all-pro caliber season he's had

huh ? they were #2 ranked defense in points, #1 in yards, #1 in ny/a in passing yards, #1 in first downs allowed...what are you talking about ?
Theyve had only three games where they allowed more than 23 points
thats statistically better than any defense we have fielded under Kyle besides 2022
