Just. Can't. See. It.

Are you sure? All I see is critism.

There are a few still in parental-mode.

I am not saying that Pettis is without flaws or can do no wrong. I just feel like his ceiling is fairly high and inspite of what Shanahan has said to the media, he does have a role on this team. It's called beating man coverage. Also, let's not forget that this is the beginning of Pettis's 2nd year. If Kyle is still calling him out come next season than maybe it will be time to move on from him, especially if Samuel or Hurd take their game to the next.level.

hes hurt emotionally after kyles words.

Time to man up son!

All speculative bs. The fact of the matter is Pettis is the only receiver on this team who can consistently beat man coverage and it showed in the Bucs game.

I would love to see Pettis, Taylor, Hurd and Kittle on the field at the same time this year. I think that would be our best group of receivers. They could beat man, zone and one on one match ups all day long.

It showed in the Bucs game? Please explain.

Because Kittle was the only one able to beat man coverage consitently and Samuel, Goodwin and Bourne struggled for most of the game.

Well to be fair Pettis in 2 snaps had same yards as Goodwin had on 50 snaps...

You can't see it in the 2 snaps he's played in game 1?
It's going to be a cat fight. But I
predict a breakout game for Pettis coming up against the Bengals.

Yeah, in terms of per snap productivity, he was fine. He needs more playing time this week. I still think he's our best receiver against man coverage right now.
Does she have any trade value at this point? 🤔
We need to see more out of all our wide receivers. We can't just keep passing to Kittle. Funny that they said keeping 4 tight ends would lessen the load on Kittle but he was the only one that caught passes last week. The wide outs need to step up and take some of the heat of him. I'm not that big a fan of Goodwin even though he's our fastest receiver. We don't throw deep that often and that's really where he is most dangerous. He isn't that great on the shorter routes and seems to go down fairly easily after the catch. I'd rather see some combination of Samuel, Pettis, Bourne and James until Hurd comes back. Then we can start rotating him into the mix.

Not much right meow imo.
I hope Pettis steps up. The WRs against TB were not good and Deebo was especially trash. He needs to not see the field again for awhile.

I wonder how he is doing in practice? If he doesnt show some want-to and fierceness in practice, if I was Kyle, I'd hesitate to play him too. Again, the medical staff is super cautious with injuries, that could be a factor too.

We really need him in the next game, where I can see it being a track meet kind of offensive game. When the one who wins is the one who scores last.
