So just forget how he abused Seattle's secondary, because we know they aren't physical up there, right?
Ya'll talking about practice? Its the beginning of training camp. Ya'll been waiting in the weeds to complain about him. Just chill. Lets see how he does when its game time. Hopefully he improves and stays healthy, we really need him.

Seriously. I feel like we've been through this stuff last season as well, especially from Cohn constantly calling Dante out for not being able to make contested catches and end of the season he was easily our best receiver.

Some people may not like it but Dante may never be a Jerry Rice type of effort guy, it doesn't make him a bad WR he just may not be THE guy. As long as the QBs understand that he's not the type of player who will attack the ball or win most of the 50/50 stuff coming his way then there won't be any issues.

If he's open, throw it to him and he'll make the plays like he did last year. If we must make a contested pass then go to the other guys.

Let's not continue to overreact to offseason/practice stuff.

The Cohn narrative that he can't catch over the middle is easily disproved by watching highlights from last year. He is not afraid to go across the middle, he isn't afraid of contact. Cohn, and anyone pushing his b******t narrative are full of bunk.

Are you sure? I thought the players who fear contact the most always become the kick returners.

He's definitely not afraid of going across the middle, its just that he typically shakes the defender so fast that they are trailing 3 yards behind him rather than getting ready to take his head off. So it doesn't even register that he just crossed 3 defenders faces because he looks so wide open. He does need to work on fighting through the PI that happens on every play but for the most part he is a solid #2 with a chance to prove he can be a true WR1 this year.
Crock thinks the weight gain may have hindered Pettis' athleticism.

Dunno. Feel like I have more faith in Goodwin at this point. Though he can't get on the field either because of health and other reasons.

LOOK, I've said this last year... Sun Screen aint comfy being close to any DBs, we need to stop using him over the middle and expect him to make big time catches... he'll be good outside the #s only...

need some dogs in here who can go catch things in traffic.....Maybe thats what Deebo is for.....I hope he is ready this season, but hard to expect much from a rookie. Especially with the complex Shanahan system that takes years to master, supposedly.
That was just pretty good coverage by Akhello. A 5 yard stop route against press man coverage in the NFL wont do much for this offense. I think you guys are overthinking this play.

Board and Brew is like a deli - good quality meats and cheeses. More nutritionally dense than burgers, pizza, etc.

Pettis said one of the reasons he gained the weight was because you loose some much weight as the season goes. I mean he gained like 9lbs, I doubt that all of a sudden destroyed his athleticism.

He will be fine imo.
I love Crock but he's still an observer, just an educated one.

He even brought up the whole guys working through stuff in camp thing. He has his thoughts on things but he's only seeing a portion of things. 9-10 lbs will not take you from a super mobile WR to an immovable tank.

Sure I wish he had more glowing reviews of Pettis and Deebo but i'm confident both guys will be fine and not sure how Deebo can be lazy lol but whatever. I respect his opinion...unlike Cohn he actually comes from a strong knowledge base. Would I have preferred DK over Deebo...if I'm being honest - yes I would.

However I still trust Kyle. Hopefully we don't live to regret it.

Meh on DK. I would have preferred AJ over either but whatever there.

Deebo is a rookie gonna take him time to learn the system.

Pettis looks plenty athletic to me, he just needs to catch the damn ball. I do value Crock's opinion though.
