I agree the guy can play. He can play both man/press and zone.

He will get paid but he might just come to a team where he is wanted...and has a chance for a decent playoff run for a little less than max market value. I can imagine he will have HUGE chip on his shoulder after this.

If they tag him a third time, that's nuts. Just sign the man to a 4 year deal if you want him. Any idea how much it is to tag him a third year?

Honestly the more I think about it the more I'm on board with him coming here...every FA is gonna get overpay you have to except that. Dude was top of the league for 2 of his 3 yrs as a starter and was still solid not great this yr.

He's a smart CB who's well versed in a lot of coverages. Last yr he was in single-high 63% of his snaps and cover 3 23% of the time...he plays bigger than he looks, only issue is he can beat on the long ball which is an issue in our scheme.

I think he's my top FA CB to go after followed by fuller (only really one good yr of football) and Johnson. I wouldn't might Melvin either.

if we're spending on FAs, it better be a pass rusher and OL.
