I don't think that's clear at all. Brady played in 10 and won 7. He has a long way to go to catch up to that.

Yup. If you just look at the 1st 5 years it's not even close. He's had more personal success and as much team success as any other QB in league history.

But he's got to continue to be the league's best qb and win a few more SB's over the next decade.

Ironically I thought Hurts was robbed of regular season MVP. Still do. Team couldn't win a game without him. I think Henne could win a game or two for the Chiefs.

You do realize that Minshew put up 34 points against Dallas in his loss right?

Mahomes had a very good year even though they traded Hill. He didn't have a great stable of receivers. He got the MVP in the SB because his team won and he was very effective even without putting up huge passing numbers. Still managed to complete 77% of his passes and get 3 TDs even with that bad ankle. Hurts played well but he coughed up that fumble that was the difference in the final score.

Best QB alive. On pace to be the greatest ever. Already the best peak ever.

It still will be tough to reach the Brady 7 Super Bowl wins and played in 10. But maybe. Burrow, Herbert and Josh Allen will be in the way in the AFC. Injuries and free agent departures come into play. As will age and injuries. Kelce isn't really that young anymore. He's 33 now. So he shouldn't get any better. He will get slower, more injured and worse. That could be a big chink in their armor. The 49ers will be there to challenge from the NFC. I don't think he will win every Super Bowl. But will win his share and more than he has now. No doubt about it.

The eye test says mahomes is/will be better than Brady,

1 Brady
2 Mahomes
3 Montana

at least that's already the talk anyway. Sure I was glad to see Philly get robbed so they could get a taste of their own medicine just like we got. But the reason I wanted Philly to win that game is exactly what you see above. Get used to it. We are going to be hearing it for a long time.

Mahomes will never be GOAT. Not with his style of play. Although he is MUCH BETTER than Wilson, the midget was one bone headed mistake at the goal line away from being considered one of the GOATs as well. Longevity in the league is defined by protecting yourself. It's why Brady, Manning, Brees, Rodgers were great and survived all these years. Guys like Vick, Kaepernick, Cunningham, Lamar Jackson eventually fall of the cliff bc their schtick gets old and teams catch on to it or they get injured and without the dual threat you find out they're pretty average at throwing it.

Now, Steve Young was the exception and I can see Mahomes going in that trajectory. But we're already seeing him have to play with high sprains. He's one big injury away from being a one threat QB. The question is can he develop the accuracy and consistency to stay great without having the ability to improvise, and thus far in his young career teams have proven that if you can limit his scrambling ability he's not as scary as a pocket passer…

77% yesterday. That's pretty accurate. He was 67.1% for the season. He's now at 66% for his career. I would say that's accurate enough especially when you conside rthe offense isn't built 5-10 yard passes over the middle.
I know this is the Mahomes thread, but WTF would Andy Reid retire when he has Mahomes as his quarterback?

These guys together are a problem. If Reid ever does retire in the near future, we all better hope the next HC is not a smart football guy like Reid is.

Burnout? Age? Health issues? Walsh stepped away when he had Montana with Young waiting in the wings.

So Wilson winning one more ring catapults him into GOAT conversation in spite of having zero MVPs and one All Pro award.

El Oh El.

Burnout? Nope. Age? In his mid-60's? Nope, that is young and spry for HC's. Health Issues? Most likely reason.

Walsh was heavily and needlessly pressured by Eddie DeBartolo. Absent Eddie D's dumbassery and foolishness Walsh probably would have hung around.

I doubt the Hunts are as dumb and short-sighted as Eddie D was.

Reid had some real family issues involving his son. We don't know hiw much that weighed on his personal life. Coaches can suffer burnout at any time. It happens all the time. That job is so demanding that I don't know how anyone can last more than 10 years in that job.
