Its more that the equivalent doesn't get called going the other way. They aren't necessarily bad calls, the refs don't call them both ways, much like the Kittle OPI in the SB but then letting KC get away with everything include a blatant helmet to helmet on Garoppolo.

yea as much as i hate KC i'll pull for them since they had to fight to get to the SB unlike the eagles who were gift wrapped their trip

Uhhhhh, KC super bowl appearance was gift wrapped by that idiot Ossai.

At least they've been through their battles over the years (and in that game). Eagles toughest game all year was the cowboys in the reg season. Kinda makes me sick knowing what we've been through over the years, just to watch a team literally walk into the SB without doing anything all year and get praised as the class of the NFC. I have a feeling it won't be pretty for the Eagles.

Agreed.

i blame it all on the Vikings. They f**ked up everything. Had they won, Eagles would've had to play the Cowboys. I can't confidently say they get pass them. Niners might have hosted the NFCCG.

So f**k the Vikings. Gave Eagles an easy path to a SB.

Pretty much this. Just needs consistency from both sides. Early in the game there was a obvious late hit on Mixon near the goal line and there wasn't a flag thrown for late hit which was much worst than the one called on the game winning FG. Even on that late hit play, there was an obvious holding on the Oline wasn't called, but it should've and would've atleast offset and replay the down.

I know the play you are talking about. Unfortunately, running backs and quarterbacks are not offered the same benefit when it comes to calls like this. To me, comparing the two has absolutely nothing to do with it being Chiefs versus Bengals as much as it has to do with QB versus RB.
Eagles will smash Patrick Mahorn

Unless they're facing Tom. Then a hold is a hold. Amazing how different those 2 Super Bowls were called.

Wins MVP yet NFL MVP is a dumb award, as it has turned into a QB of the year award

they should split it out to a QB of the year award on one side, and a best non-QB NFL MVP on the other

T. Kelce
Jefferson
Bosa
Reddick

pick one, that should be the MVP
So you got Hamlin going down giving them 1st seed.

AND to top it all off a ghost penalty to END the super bowl?

https://arrowheadaddict.com/2023/01/06/chiefs-catch-huge-break-new-seeding-rules/

he decision was made on Thursday to abandon the Buffalo-Cincinnati game, suspended following the shocking injury to Damar Hamlin. Following that decision, win percentage, rather than total wins, will now decide the playoff seedings, giving the Chiefs a definite advantage.

Heading into Week 18, the Chiefs' hopes of earning the AFC's top seed are now entirely in their own hands.

With Kansas City currently holding an ever-so-slightly higher win percentage over the Bills, a win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Saturday will clinch the one seed for the Chiefs, regardless of Buffalo's result.

It is a huge break for the Chiefs, who had previously been behind the Bills in the standings. Heading into the final game of the regular season, it looked like Kansas City would have needed New England to claim an upset win against Buffalo to move ahead of the Bills into the top spot.

But now, the Chiefs are the masters of their own destiny. If they beat the Raiders this weekend, the one seed is theirs, bringing with it the all-important first-round bye in the playoffs in the process.

With Joe Thuney, L'Jarius Sneed, Harrison Butker, Mecole Hardman and Skyy Moore all banged up at the moment, that extra week of rest and recovery could be a huge boost to Kansas City's Super Bowl run.

While the seeding system has been sorted, there are still questions about the AFC Championship game. The NFL unveiled a resolution on Thursday, pushing for the game to be played at a neutral venue.
