Yea but Ankle injuries are fluky. I don't chalk this injury up as a nagging recurring injury

His entire body is a nagging recurring injury. Made of glass. What do we have so far knee, ankle, shoulder, thumb, and now foot? Probably forgetting something

I guess this is deebos revenge for the hang out to dry passes.

Dude couldn't chip to save Jimmy's life.

I haven't gone back to review, but my impression is many of his biggest completions came out late, including right before or during contact. Had he given up on those plays earlier, I doubt they would have won. My working definition of "doing it right" is putting up a winning effort, and I think he did what he had to do yesterday.

Do you think if he is contacted like the Saints game each week that he will still be standing in Jan? I don't. That contact isn't sustainable for a man with his injury history.

It was 1 game against a top 10 defense/top 5 pass rush. Do you really believe he'll be facing a defense like that every week the rest of the season?

Just gonna go ahead and bump from after Saints game.. shame JG can't throw it away like I've been preaching for a long time
Jimmy is a good QB...but this is why we needed him to be replaced. He's just not durable.
Why he didn't call the timeout? Scared to get crap at by Kyle? Purdy did it the whole game.
I love Jimmy, but just career is as injury riddled as verret. Can't keep doing it.

Great team win, but we cannot win in the playoffs with Purdy. I'm a little concerned the injury is not minor.

agreed, we need to expedite lance to starting again if we got a shot in the playoffs if jimmy can't go

Imagine thinking that this particular injury has anything to do with "durability"

But either way, the Jimmy fans can be happy now that we've seen the last of Jimmy on the field for the 49ers.

I just hope Purdy can be good enough to help carry us through. I like what I saw today.

And we replaced him with TL who is injured year 1 and year 2

it's a KS problem.. he doesn't coach any preservation.. just stands on the sideline and watches one QB after another go down.. all to preventable BS

we are testing the limits of how far you can go down the QB depth chart and still be remotely relevant..

Kyle didn't tell Jimmy to try to carry the entire Miami defense on his back instead of go down.
Instead of just getting down and taking the sack, this guy tries to run around and gets a season ending injury by big lineman. Same stupid s**t from his ACL injury

Most of us here are finding a way to have common ground, root for our QB, and move on from divisive comments. Yet you just can't let go of this notion that I hate Trey, even though I clearly supported him once the games started and even got a timeout for defending him (albeit too harshly).

Also telling that you didn't quote the comments prior to this, which are 49att taking shots at Jimmy. Geeze I wonder why?

You see here's why posting like this is complete poison once you've gotten your shots in and keep doing it.

He's filthy rich and wont be homeless anytime soon,...but an injury like this likely has costed him millions upon millions of dollars.

He went from supposedly-major contract signing to "who the hell knows" over the course of 2 weeks. These guys are humans.

So to be out there balling with 300+ lb guys chasing you down,...laying it on the line trying to get your last major contract before retiring and sh** like this happens.

It's really, really a tough break for the guy.

If the reports are true, Good luck Jimmy!!

I have a hard time blaming KS for both injuries. Jimmy has always had health issues. Last year it was his thumb and it affected his game for the 2nd half of the season.

It does imo I've seen him take on defenders vs KC, hold the ball vs TEN, not throw away here

it's the dumb decisions

what kind of winning play did he have in mind with two defenders riding his back. he looked like a mechanical bull on that play. You don't see Brady or Mahomes trying that bs they wouldn't last either

Yup. But don't get mad, a 7th round pick that looks miles better than a QB they spent three 1st round picks on.

Not even remotely true. Kyle has Brock on training wheels. Team is Probably up by 3 tds with Jimmy.

Kyle has all of his qbs on training wheels. He is an ultra conservative so no. Jimmy would not have us up by 3 tds. Wake up. Jimmy is not the answer.

🤡

Jimmy has been playing solid to great football since the Broncos game, he's been one of the best storylines of the season. And that's still not good enough for some fans. How embarrassing of you to make such a terrible post

keep praying for your silly fantasy of bringing back an old owner who has no desire to return to the NFL
Keep convincing yourself that Jimmy is a winner. I offer that your fantasy is a bit sillier than mine
