This offseason is gonna feel like an eternity though

Probably a bunch of false hope only to fall flat on our faces next year like the Nolan-Singletary eras.

Don't be a Debbie Downer, sus.

One thing I'm hoping is that once Jimmy gets paid and signed to all these endorsement deals, is that his head don't get all swollen. I remember believing Kap was like the most humble person ever, but once he got that money and fame, he turned into some other person I'm still trying to figure out.

I hate that dumb song Pauly Mac made on KNBR.

Murph and Mac are unlistenable. I would rather listen to the Kars for Kids commercial on repeat for 3 hours than listen to them.

I cant stand morning radio schmoozers. They're so fake and upbeat. Mainly Murph. If he says "Jimmy G!" one more time, I swear...

The guy became his own commercial. He was never the guy in the commercial, but that's the guy he wanted to be and became in the commercial. Self fulfilling prophecy.

Even though we don't really know how this trade actually went down it seems pretty clear Belichick has a lot of respect for Shanahan and Lynch. There's some opinion out there BB hates the Browns and still has some kind of vendetta against them which is the reason he continued to turn down their trade requests for Jimmy G. That's a nice theory except the only problem is Belichick wasn't fired from the Browns he was fired from the Ravens who used to be the Cleveland Browns. So, stupid theory. If he can't stand or has no respect for Cleveland it's because the ownership and management is stupid and incompetent.

Nobody deserves to be traded to the Browns. Period!

yeah i dont think he has a vendetta.

Either he has the utmost respect for Jimmy and involved him in the trade process, asking him where he would like to go instead of just shipping him off to the highest bidder or BB thinks Garappolo is really THAT GOOD and doesnt want to see him in the playoffs

That or he thinks Cleveland is really just a s**tstorm that's only going to get worse when the season is over.

He was fired from the Browns and when they came back they kept all the team history so technically the Browns are still the team that fired him.

You never know what will happen but Jimmy has sat behind Tom Brady and even though he now doesn't have to follow Tom I think that "Brady's heir" in a way will stay with him. Is he just a guy looking to cash in then change his personality? I don't see it happening. I think he learned a great deal from Tom including how to keep a pretty level head despite all the talk. Honestly is there a bigger name in the NFL than Brady right now? Handsome QB, supermodel wife, most SB wins, tons of records...and yet he's still out there busting his ass and working hard at 40 years old.

I don't want to trash Kap but honestly I think partly because he was adopted and didn't really know his biological parents he always had a need to fit in and change based on different situations. I'm not just talking about the protest. He was one way in college, seemed pretty easy going as a rookie but soon as he was given the starting job he kind of took on a different persona similar to Harbaugh where he was very brief with the media. Then when he got his current gf he changed his personality for her as well(or at least due to her)

Can Jimmy meet some girl and get lazy? I guess but I don't see it happening and honestly it's a risk you HAVE to take. You can say this for any young QB getting a big deal.

And let's be real...looking the way Jimmy does it's not like he wasn't swimming in p***y if he wanted it more than football. A large contract won't give him that much more than he already has now...if anything it could let him concentrate on being a better QB and teammate when he doesn't have to worry about his family's finances.

Nope he was fired by Art Modell who owned the Baltimore Ravens, the artist formerly known as the Browns. The 1999 expansion Cleveland Browns have nothing to do with Bill Belichick, except their desperate attempt to acquire Jimmy G.

Man we killed NE with this trade... I really wonder if there is a verbal agreement for a pro NE trade in the future between Lynch and NE? Would not be the least bit surprised if there is a draft day trade between us and NE.
