Well I'm really excited for this off-season for sure now that we know what we have in Jimmy.
Just went back and watched all his completions. Man, this guy made some impressive throws. Really nice throws down the field, hitting guys in full stride. Again, I know it's only one game but there was a lot to be excited about from this game. If we can protect this kid and get him some weapons, he will be a top 10 NFL QB and maybe even top 5.

No Doubt! The throw that would have really impressed had he stayed in bounds was that back corner pass to Celek or maybe it was Kittle. If he had completed that pass for a TD...I've would have been.....holy f****n wow!! But still...he was really impressive for a guy who's only had a couple starts in 4 years but looks to just have that maturity and solid play he learned sitting behind one of the greatest for those 4 years. Even the way he dresses and carries himself in the postgame presser. I hope he rubs off that work ethic to the rest of the team.

I can not believe we got him in a mid season trade. And we will still pick in the top 5 getting a day one starter to help him. It's christmas already

Dealing with that Boston media for that many years will make you stronger for sure.
If Jimmy runs the table with this Walmart crew on offense, then he needs a max contract no questions asked. Pay the kid and get him some blockers in FA/draft and one more offensive weapon.

Lynch is already better than Baalke.

Humility will take you a long way in life. It's also intriguing that Brady was also on the table. It would have been very appropriate for him to finish out his career for his hometown team while grooming Beathard.

Needless to say, I feel very good about this year's draft/FA. Face it, our Super Bowl is in the spring.

Landry overrated?? He already has two back to back 1100 yard seasons and is on pace for a third this year. Watkins has been solid all year with good size and speed, only 24 and could end up close to 1,000 yards himself this year.

Like I said he plays the slot and he basically getting handoffs. 8.7 YPA and avg 58 yards per game isn't good at all. 370 catches in 4 yrs with only 19 TDs...he's a good slot WR but I think we have one already.

Watkins has 528 yards in 12 games (44 yards per game), gonna need 120 yards a game to make that happen. Don't see it.

Better options then those guys imo.

Can't really understand this tbh with you. Sammy was one of the better WR's I've watched come out of the draft and outside of injuries, which are a major issue to be fair, he's done nothing to not show that he is a #1 in my opinion.

And Jarvis is a stud and one of the best slot wideouts in the league. Unless your scheme or other skill talent requires a faster slot receiver, you can't really do better.

He's the guy I really want and i think him, Garcon, Goodwin, Kittle and Hyde can do damage together.

Slot guys are usually great value in FA too. And i don't think Sammy is hitting FA after they traded so much for him.
Would rather sign Devante Adams and draft a guy or Take a flyer on Allen Robinson who knows after his acl

Any reason behind these?

I personally believe J. Landry > Adams and Watkins > Robinson.

What makes you think these guys are better?
Does anyone the date for when the 2018 FA starts?

Have you seen what Robinson has been able to do with Blake Bortles?

Landry is basically a slot guy and doesn't offer as much on the outside. We're good on slot guys but a big outside receiver who can go up for the ball and be a big target in the redzone would be great.

Watkins was a top 5 pick who didn't last his rookie contract on the team that traded a lot to move up to draft him #4 overall. There is a reason for that. Stop thinking he's the same guy who was drafted so high.

Of course the issue is Jags won't let Robinson walk. Adams would be a good addition but not sure Packers would let him walk either but not certain of their cap situation.
I know we're all jumping up and down with Jimmy G after viewing a small sample size, but if this kid isn't the real deal I don't know who is. The team must protect him, stock up on some Grade A US Beef in the draft.

Agree - was what I saw in watching it a second time. And just the way he went about it during the game...pretty calm, cool, and collected out there like he didn't just join a complicated NFL O scheme in mid-season. He just looked like he knew what he was doing in addition to his arm talent, pocket presence, footwork, etc.
