I'm aware how good their D has been. They kept me alive in FF after losing half my roster. Don't expect him to throw for 300+ and multiple TDs. But would like to see him get solid drives going and keep calm despite what I expect will be hell and not turn the ball over due to panicking or sensing pressure.

Basically I want to see him be Jimmy Cool even in chit situations and Jags give us the best view of that.

We have not one but TWO QB's on our roster superior to Carmazzi.

....I was more implying that we drafted Gio over some dude named Brady.

((I know ))

Still not gonna really judge him too much on the Jags game with the roster the 49ers have on both offense and defense. Jags offense is pretty stacked and the defense will probably force Jimmy G. to play from behind. Jaguars are definitely legit with the #1 rushing offense and #1 defense, Baltimore and Pittsburgh have won Super Bowls that way.

So far he hit receivers at will. Some passes were a bit late or behind the receivers, and perhaps a better defense would have made more of that, but Chicago is ranked 15th in overall defense so...what's not to like? I don't think anyone is anointing him or judging him yet, just saying that we like what he's doing and hope it continues.

Things to like:
  • throws a soft, catchable ball
  • good tempo for the particular passes...more zip on some, soft when possible
  • accurate
  • quick release
  • pocket presence
  • keeps eyes downfield

Just looks like the real deal, admittedly given such limited examples.

Man, the Jags game is 3 weeks away. We don't need to be already making excuses for why he doesn't perform well against them.

I feel the same way. He's given us something to really look forward to. Haven't seen this type of QBing from a Niner in forever. I'm going to SF my first time in 2 weeks and I'll be at the game, way too excited.

This. I feel kinda bad because I couldn't watch the game due to its 10am start but I wish I would have seen him play from start-to-finish. He does breathe new life into this organization.

We have two QBs that are superior to Dak Prescott.

Really interesting film breakdown of Jimmy G in the Bears game from a Bears fan - disagree on the arm strength as I remember reading a lot of Pats beat reporters were saying that he was great at it in training camps.

If this is the case, it's about f**king time !!! Lol

Finally, bud - the gods have finally shined down on us. Go, Niners, go!

Haha if he ends up being the guy - forget the football gods, this was all Kyle Shanahan.

Watching him talk about Jimmy is great.. he can't control his excitement 🙃

I hear you, man.

Haha I hear you too but come on guys, we were in the NFC Championship 4 years ago and started out 7-3 the next season. It definitely feels like a lifetime ago though!
