Right now JG should be playing 3rd and 4th quarter preseason to get his confidence back.
Mullens should be playing 1st.

Breida burned his man too, would've been huge gain or TD
Yeah, I mean I cant predict if Jimmy woulda thrown a good ball or if Breida woulda caught it, but regardless the play was there to make

But when he's tentative and not putting his body into his throws like tonight, those questionable decisions are going to be exposed. Putting tonight's performance in context of many bad reports out of training camp and its seems like Garoppolo needs more time to heal from his injury and regain his confidence. Not an easy call, but team would probably play better with Mullens under center for the first half of the year.
I would be fine with Mullens taking over for the whole year and we cut Jimmy G next year and make Mullens the full time starter for a much cheaper price.

With shanny's current track record he's going to get to go 1-9 before his job is even in question even with Mullens in the background.

Other than that, I don't like them.
Really? I love the mnf crew, probably my favorite out of all the networks

This makes a whole lot of sense if next week is not a vast improvement

Welp if that's the case, season is already over, and we didn't even get to week 1....that's actually really impressive

Let's just ignore the fact that Jimmy not putting his body into throws is the extent of the arm strength Nick can generate even when he does.

Play Mullens over Jimmy G? Seriously? Why in the hell would the Niners do that?
I'm not 100% sure Jimmy is the franchise QB the Niners have been longing for but at least he has a chance to be....and this is the year to find out.
Mullens is a solid backup QB. Key word being BACKUP. If Jimmy flames out this year, the Niners need to go back to the drawing board and look for the QB of the future in the draft. I don't want any part of Mullens being plan A at the QB position....If that happens, Shanahan and Lynch need to be canned lol.

lol at the idea that we'd play Nick over a healthy Jimmy. 0% chance. We need to find out what we have in Jimmy and the only way we're going to do that is by playing him. You don't give a QB a $135 million contract only to bench him after 6 preseason passes.

Everyone needs to chill out, sure it was ugly, but don't forget we were playing totally vanilla, against a good defence with a smart play caller who we had just shown our vanilla offense to for two days.

Garoppolo shouldn´t even play in the preseason since Kyle doesn´t care about.
