No question we saw this coming as evidenced by the picks of Moore and Banks last year.

Wow. If we are putting our hope in 2 dudes that couldn't even sniff the field last year, we f**ked.

Move Brunskill to RT, let Banks and McKivitz duke it out at LG, and then draft a new RG to compete with Moore.

Tomlinson is good as gone.

Oh yeah. Mack + rookie was my 2nd favorite option. I had zero issues with that. Kinlaw over Wirfs or Lamb? Hell no. But everybody knows how I feel about that broken record. Haha.

I remember that draft we were both like ...waaaat? Lol then getting Trent made sense in hindsight a day later.

Yeah, I loved that pickup for a Staley replacement. Epic trade.
We really have to sign Tomlinson even if we pay three or 4 million over when we want to. The fact that he's never ever injured is more valuable than anything considering the injuries we've had over the years

LT's play this past season put him in the company of guys that earned $10-11M/yr. His cap number this past season was $6.6M. If he doubles that, we are out. However, if Parage can push some back to 2024 and a few other tricks to keep his cap at $9-10M, we might be able to keep him. Just spit-balling...

Yeah, he's going to make double digit figures. Almost every higher end FA, no matter the position, is going to get that nowadays. That's just what the market is now.

I remember doing an older analysis of teams with the most players with double digit APY. I think the highest at the time was, 7. They were almost always the playoff/best teams. Now? Probably every team has at least 5+.

What about James Daniels? Is is slated to make more, the same, or less?

Yep, plus the cap is gonna skyrocket by 2024, so teams are willing to spend now, give guys double digits, backload deals, get the players while the money is right, if we wait on Deebo or Bosa, we're f**ked, they'll want more, their value goes up, same way with FAs signing 1yr prove it deals, DJ bet on himself, he won, now he's gonna cash in, I hope it's with us, but Idk, I think we lose both, just hope we are in on Daniels or Cappa at RG, move Banks to LG, get a top tier CB like Gilmore, we can't afford a JC Jackson or Carlton Davis, but a Gilmore, Ward, Wallace would be nice.

Agreed, just not Wallace at cb. He been inconsistent but we should make room for Tomlinson
100% need to get him back. He is always healthy and establishes continuity in the line at 3 positions. Focus can just be on upgrading right side of line. Not counting on Banks/Moore to be as good as him for at least one more year and starting either too early is going to get Lance killed. I'm fine overspending on the o-line.

I concur. Also if we are letting DJ Jones walk we should have enough to sign LT for sure. As long as we free up 25 mil from trading Jimmy by the time FA starts. The cap goes up a ton next year so no excuses to not get this done

My guess would be a little less than LT.
I would hate to lose Tomlinson because we're going to have enough problems with the switch to an inexperienced QB. He'll have a learning curve and he doesn't need to worry about a new O line.
