You remind me of Glenn Dickey, the Chronicle sportswriter, who complained in print about Montana's fathering a child during the middle of the season. Joe should've timed it better, he wrote. The memory wouldn't be so hilarious if Joe didn't go on to win two Super Bowls after that.

A ton of QBs do this. In fact, I would say it's a tiny minority that don't pat the ball before throwing it.
