We need you in 2012 SB form Malcolm. Cheers to Malcolm having a nice old fashioned 49er type of emergence/come back when we need it most

i think we need to proceed as if foster is not playing for us. i think a nice free agent linebacker and a nice rookie in round three should suffice. in my opinion. i hope smith is all you say and hope he will be

Smith is. Just as much the athlete, elite play recognition ability, and NO trouble.

i hope so haha. But yeah i think Smith is just as fast...maybe faster, but definitely not as strong. Foster plays like he is 20 lbs bigger. Roquan looks like he tackles the bigger guys with finesse, usually going at the legs and allowing them pick up an extra 2-3 yards. Foster just completely sends them back. Would be a great pairing.
If we did get Roquan, and Foster clears everything up and is in the lineup, any chance we have M.Smith, R.Smith, and Foster on the field at the same time? Kind of like Jaguars

That would be one sweet over package. We got the beef up front to do it IMO. Put DEFO at Big end on the play,Thomas at 3T.

Foster's career will likely be shorter than R Smith due to the violence of the hits. I love the guy but he is an enforcer type and will struggle to stay healthy. Willis was a rare enforcer guy who had such a pure tackle style that he stayed healthy until his feet broke down. He tackled with his chest, head up, driving through the player rather than the violent collision style of a Whitner or Goldson. Foster does not have that pure style and will be more likely to have concussions and other injuries. Just my opinion, but I've had my coffee this morning so...
