Nope. The level of water you take in just because you're sick would never trigger a diluted sample.
Does this mean he's off our draft board like many were proclaiming of Foster?

Yea okay peppers. I wouldn't draft him just for the fact that he thinks he could get away with excuses that are decades old. Can't come up with anything better??

He knew he was going to enter into the abuse policy before the draft -- one way or another. Either it was going to be for what was in his system, or for a diluted sample. You can PR your way out of a diluted sample. For such a tough guy he sure pulled a cowards move.

You don't know if it's for weed. It could be a lot of things.

Ask Cle how their resident pot head has done the last 2-3 years. Sitting at home doesn't help anybody.

Don't disagree, but you are claiming these two are just like Josh Gordon?

I hope not, dude.

Actually, it doesn't take too much water to dilute. I happen to know quite a bit about this. There are two factors that come into play: specific gravity (i.e. the lower the specific gravity, the more 'water-like' the urine is) and temperature (has to be within a few degrees of 98.6º), plus the threshold ng/mL for each drug screened. If you drink 1 gallon per day, you should pass the test, but if you don't and suddenly you do drink 1 to 1.5 gallons, you can trigger a diluted sample.

It appears as though the NFL has taken the stance that a diluted sample is equivalent to a failed test. Some institutions do a re-test, others see it as a pass. Each testing place has it's own policy.
Once again...why are these guys "pounding water" and they can't make that crystal clear ahead of time?

If I'm trying to get into the NFL and I know i didn't feel well and my piss sample may be diluted I'm at least asking teams to do a blood test. Whether they actually do is up to them but it at least shows teams you're legit don't have anything to hide.

Maybe their agents said that a failed test will be less of a detriment than a solid combine outing...
What the f**k happened?

"A source told ESPN's Schefter that Peppers, who has a history of cramping, was ill after flying to Indianapolis from San Diego, so he drank eight to 10 bottles of water as he was the first athlete to run for both the linebackers and defensive backs."

Why did the NFL tell him he must do linebacker drills? In order to do db drills?

So he should just dehydrate then. That's b******t!

If this means he falls to 34 then I would be ecstatic.
