"NFL Draft: Why Is Jabrill Peppers Hated? The former Michigan star continues to receive heavy criticism before the NFL Draft."

"In this society of knocking down perceptions, there were plenty of people willing to pile on negativity regarding Peppers," said Kyle Rowland, Michigan reporter for the Toledo Blade. "Michigan will never be a beloved program and Harbaugh will never win any popularity contests, so Peppers playing for Michigan gave haters even more ammo."

Those haters will have a field day when Peppers is drafted. Not only because their "overrated" obsession is getting an NFL shot; because Harbaugh and Michigan football will be practicing in Rome over draft weekend."

Could still be a candidate at 34 If we go pass rusher in round 1. I wonder if he slides to later second. He'd be so sad lol.

It's not about being sad. Its about lazy and pathetic researching or just non researching by most. Its about being crucified for helping his team. Yet, you have these flops who feel the world owe's them something.

He is a humble dude, who will do anything to help his team win, even by jeopardizing his draft stock by switching to a different position, the hate pours out against him..

We know he is going to get drafted but thats besides the point, my point since day one.
He hasn't gotten the recognition he deserved. If it wasnt for BrettKollman educating his roll, they rather stay ignorant and choose not to do their homework on this kid?

Where's the hate coming from to validate

He earned that respect, to get studied and researched like every other draft pick not just say he has 1 int so he is garbage lets move one

Its pathetic and lazy journalism.

I don't know him that well, but he comes off as more saucy/cocky(backflips and ish)... when people want him to STFU and play ball, and I'll be on record...He's gonna be good, I think that's part of the issue, what Michigan&Harbaugh did hyping him up the ying-yang etc.
Can't really blame him for trying to hype himself up but I think perhaps he coulda carried himself a lil more professional but he's effing 21. Not gonna put everything on hype/clowning on your opponent and having fun. Probably plays nickel the first year, takes over at FS next year. I just don't think I wanna sacrifice his body and put him in the box as a SS.

Huh???

I think you havent watched him. The dude is humble, no hyping up. He was responding to the Chris Simms article.

I watched him, a backflip is showboating after game?
He cant celebrate?

Some need to do research. Seriously

Lazy Journalism is what its called. Fortunately you have a guy like Brett Kollman that actually takes the time to do his research.

Doing backflips at the combine cause he knew the camera was on him. Doing the LB group tests to hype himself when we all know damn well he won't play LB in the NFL. I've watched a few of his interviews,it's a lil fake humbleness in my book and you can say that isn't fair. I'm still targeting him in the second with that being said. Once again he's 21,I'm not gonna look too much at the nitpicked statements.

Thats it because he did a backflip?

I'm taking you havent read too much into him?

The ncaa made him do linebacker drills because that was his position he played his last year..

He asked to do the db drills through his agent.. The ncaa said the only way he can do db drills is if he does both linbacker drills and db drills... He said no problem.. He only played linebacker because Don Brown needed a linebacker.
Yes thats humble and not worrying about his draft stock, played linebacker and still was an All-American...

Doing linebacker drills to hype himself up?? Lmfao
Thats the false criticism, I speak of

He was forced to do linebacker drills. True story not the fake news thats being reported.

Should he have not done the db drills because he sacrificed for the TEAM and played out of position his last year?

How many players play out of position for a TEAM and still were labeled an All-American.

Lazy and poor journalism.. I guess the lies sound better?

I dunno dude... I don't believe NFL forced him to workout at LB even doe hes projected to be a S. He knew doing both groups would give him more hype and exposure.
Good for him to play LB, possibly hurt himself and delayed hiss development as a DB. He just SEEMS,not saying he IS a lil too saucy/flashy and he hasn't done ish in the league. I have no dog in this fight. I think hes gonna be a good player,I admit I was nitpicking a lil. Classic case it seems liked the guy you want in your team ,probably dislike if he's not.

"Because Peppers is listed on the Michigan roster as a linebacker, he was forced to work out with the linebacking group at the combine. He was told before the combine that, if he wanted to tryout with the defensive backs, he was going to have to find a loophole.

"I asked if I could just, if there was somehow, someway, that I could do the DB work because that's what I was doing all offseason and leading up to the combine. And I told my agents that and they made it happen," Peppers said. "They said the only way I could do that is if I do both and I was like, that's easy. That's no problem at all."

I hear what your saying but in regards to the drills, this question was asked in the combine by reporters, he posted it on twitter and Mayock has interviewed him. . So if he was lying on camera about the NFL making him do lb drills. He would have been called out along tine ago.

Someone would have called him out on it by now. Its not about being my guy, its about evaluating the player correctly..

So in reality he was showboating by doing two drills.. He was forced by the NFL. Its more about giving him a fair shot..

Again its lazy journalism. Brett Kollman was the only one that took the time out to do his homework. Its about a fair shot, something most of the media didnt give him.

Wow. Well that's complete BS on the NFLs part to make him do the LB drills and essentially was gonna do the DB drills regardless. With that being said I think he woulda done both either way lol. Well, who knows he just might be in red and gold. He'd look good in a 45 if it's not taken.

As long as he gets his credit and evaluated correctly, I'm fine with him going to another team if he doesn't fit us or we take Hooker. I'll be fine with that but damn the kid did what he was asked his last year and moved to LB , became an All-American at 200lbs and Brett Kollman has been the only dude to see. Now its hurting him.

So what example does this show to these kids in college? If your coach doesn't have a linebacker and he asks you to switch you on your last year, say f**k no...

Why because look what Jabrill went through when he switched, look what they did to him or how his draft stock plummeted because he was thinking about Team first.

The league is sending me,me,me,me signals. If I was a kid monitoring this situation , take down notes.

I care more about him being evaluated correctly than trying to get him on board at this point.
