I think they rotate Hodges and Wilhoite, but on passing downs they go with 3 safeties. Reid-Ward-Tartt. Get them all on the field.

Also we didn't draft a single ILB, and wilhoit is an average aging run stuffer. Tartt would be very intriguing at ILB.

Tartt being a "career backup" is up to Tartt's performance and Baalke's personell decisions, not your "intrigue." This isn't Madden. Converting Tartt to ILB requires more than intrigue.
