Certainly hope its the former.
6:08 mark. Saleh talks about what the CBs are taught to do when trailing. They are not taught to turn around. They are taught to play the hands of the WR. I think it's odd but the 49ers aren't the only team to do this. The CBs themselves just aren't good at it.

Based on how he has played and where he was drafted, could be a steal. No Way I would even trade a 6th round pick
