If being 11th in scoring defense, and 6th in yards, 6th in 1st downs allowed, and 10th on 3rd down is downhill, you have very high standards.

Of course. We may never field a defense as dominant as that one, but that doesn't mean the current defense sucks.

but he never said it sucked, he just said it went downhill which it technically did.
Should have kept him. End of story.

#1 all time PFF rank
idk. Buckner can get top tier cash .

Niners can't really afford too many heavy contracts as it is.
Niners have to worry about Bosas' contract, Deebos', Juice, Kittles', Warners...just to name a few.
If they would've paid Defo Buckner niners would have a gofund me by now.

Do you even 49ers lol? Warner and Kittle already got their contracts. The right move would've been trade AA and sign Defo, an extra 4 mil a year wouldn't have prevented us from nothing. FO just wanted a first round pick and AA didn't have have that kind of value, and they banked on AA being just as good as he was during his contract year.
When Arik whiffed on that Tannehill scramble, I turned into a sassy bleck lady:

"Mmmmhmmm...."

All that money. Can't even tackle that geezer when the game is on the line.

When Kinlaw wins breakout defensive player of the year next season this will be forgotten

that was the right move. idiots shanahan and lynch made one of the worst moves there
3 tackles and no sacks in a must win game against the worst team in the league. Can we all finally move on.
