A very good player massively overrated/overhyped by Niner fans (like Harbaugh). Water is wet.

The 49ers finished top 10 in points allowed, run defense/yds per carry, top 5 in pass defense and QB sacks and top 3 in yards allowed without him.
ooops: wrong thread

Agree. A good player. But not worth the cost. Colts fans are having some buyer's remorse. Seven sacks.

Buckner's PR team won't post in here given the disparity in pay to play. But there's not much to debate. A good player getting paid elite money. Tough pill to swallow for the Colts.

Facts. All of this worse secondary talk is nonsense. Damn good defense. Hell, you could argue if we had this run defense in the Super Bowl game, the result could've been different.
Imagine if Buckner produced those numbers in a win and you're in game making 20 mil per. He would be crucified here, for the millionth time Lynch and the front office did the right thing
They lost to the f**king 2-14 Jags....

If he still was a 9er he'd have double digits he also plays DT which tends to have less sacks. Don't forget how durable Buckner is he doesn't get hurt or miss snaps. Justin Smith didn't have double digit sacks #s
Feel bad for Buckner in that the Colts put so much on his back. They hoped Paye would be their version of Bosa but he's not anywhere close to that. If that really want to unleash Buckner, they need to add more talent on the edges.

such an embarrassing loss. But then again, we lost to Colt McCoy.

That was still a winning playoff bound (albeit limping) Cardinals team, not the 2-14 and now guaranteed #1 draft selection Jags lol.

The Colts have done a weird job building that roster. They had a ton of cap space, lots of draft picks, they panicked and wound up with Carson Wentz while leaving key spots on the roster unfilled.

The problem with Buckner is that even if you're an elite interior lineman, which he absolutely is, you're still going to be somewhat limited depending on the pieces around you. Same issue Quinnen Williams is dealing with in New York, same thing we saw with Bryant Young with the 49ers. You can take a DT out of the game if you're not needing to worry about the rest of the DL. The Colts don't really have any guys that keep offensive coordinators up at night beyond Buckner and Leonard and in a passing league, you need at least one good edge rushing threat.

Leads the team with 7 sacks...He doesn't have anywhere close to a Boss level type of player playing next to him.

seven sacks given that he is not a pass rusher is very good.
