Cool, he gets some more pressure while getting to play 1 on 1 against RTs and doesn't have to worry about double teams that often. And what he is doing with that pressure? Most of the time he's just losing contain on his pressures and doesn't make a play to make up for that.
The lesson here is that it's okay to admit both Armstead and Buckner are very good. Both can be true. Buckner could never possibly live up to the insufferable hype this board gives him. Not his fault. And Armstead has never been as bad as some of claimed. Dunno why for some fans it's a zero sum game. Multiple players can be extremely good.
No the lesson here is to not use a stat without context as some sort of mic drop moment to prove anything at all.

I didn't want to admit it before, but after what's transpired and what Joe Staley said a few weeks ago holy s**t what a disaster this trade turned out to be, maybe even worse than the Charles Hayley trade to Dallas, and to think their justification for doing this was to resign Arik Armstead, Jimmie Ward, and Fred Warner. Can't make this kind of stuff up

Watching Hard Knocks in season with the Colts. Seeing Deforest Buckner being a leader on and off the field in this episode really pisses me off that we traded him.

In hindsight, the biggest error was Dee Ford. His contract could have been allocated to keeping Buckner and Armstead as All22 pointed out in another thread.

Bro, I knew it was a bad decision from the second it was announced. But seeing him like this in the episode…I just got really f**king angry.
and it doesn't help that Kinlaw has gimpy ass legs and can't stay on the field.

When this trade happened I felt it was the demise of the 49ers. Sometimes, like the Charles Haley trade, you can pinpoint the franchise falling backwards with a brainless move. We are reduced to being 5-5 going up against another 5-5 team scratching for a spot in the playoffs. It didn't have to be.

5-5 isn't good but look around the league and there are a lot of teams that we thought would be good that are having problems. Not sure why but it may be because of the messed up season last year and the way the off season training was affected.

The Eddie D and Coach Walsh 49ers never settled for mediocrity. Those die hards that lived through the 49ers Golden Age don't forget.

I know, iI was at every game back then, but you can't compare those teams to this one. It's a different era with a salary cap and free agency. Different rules. It's different game.

Complete nonsense. DeForest Buckner isn't the difference between the 49ers being 5-5 and 9-2, just stop.

No, but we very well could be 7-3 and in contention for the 1 seed if there was a pass rush in the first half of the season.
